Abel HAS hurt Hardy—the forced gender change had him ill and sick for months, plus the conscious awareness that he was pushing him too far during sex to tire him out. Gray has done no demonstrable harm besides the temperature thing, which I’m pretty sure was to break the amulet. The amulet that was commented on as being basically a chain.
Making the smut scene less smut and more “uncomfortable scenario” was a great play imo. The whole situation is weird and this scene reflected it pretty well. It wasn’t intimate, it was a transaction
