Let me start by saying that everything Im sharing comes from spending many years on this site, observing patterns across multiple accounts, and reading user reports. Im not the dev, mod, or admin but Ive had experience with systems which is why I can answer your “whys” and “what ifs”
THIS IS THE SITUATION
Jan19 - Bto closes
⠀⠀⠀*start of traffic surge to Mgo
⠀⠀⠀*some features have slowed down a bit
Jan24 - Mgo goes down
⠀⠀⠀*caused by backend updates or overloaded servers
Jan26 - Mgo comes back up
⠀⠀⠀*site is online again but very buggy: missing lists, random logouts, slow pages, no notifications, etc
⠀⠀⠀*this is when the system started gradually restoring lists
WHY IS THE SITE SO BUGGY
- Mgo uses separate parts for different things. One to SAVE your manga data (aka database/the memory), another one to DISPLAY your saved Manga data (aka UI/what you see), and another one for your browser/session data (aka cookies, login state, etc/this also connects the database and ui). When everything is working properly, these three systems stay in sync (eg. when you save a manga, it will show up in your list right away)
The system will communicate with Database, like hey this is the user that logged in go tell UI the things they should display. So Database will tell UI, like hey based on what's given to me, these are the saved data that belongs to this user, these are what you should display. HOWEVER, because of the gradual restoring of lists (which puts a heavy load on the site), the System, UI, and Database are not able to communicate properly, so theyre not in sync. This is why we’re encountering the issues
I DON'T GET NOTIFICATIONS
- since the System, UI, and Database are not in sync, Mgo cant correctly link your acc to your saved mangas so notifs dont show up/update properly. This is temporary and should be fixed when the system is in sync again
WHY DO I KEEP GETTING LOGGED OUT
- Mgo keeps track of your login/session info. But if this isnt tracked properly, Mgo may log you out randomly/repeatedly
WHERE DID MY LIST GO
- Your mangas are not deleted. Theyre still saved in the database. Mgo is gradually restoring everyone’s list from the oldest to most recent marked mangas. Follow this post to get notified about updates: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21092806/
WILL I GET MY LIST BACK
- YES. Do note that while your list is coming back, you might notice some things are off:

⠀⠀⠀*only rated mangas showing for some users
(I can explain why but it will be too long for this FAQ. idk how to explain without sounding too technical so i might also have to explain the basic terms. You can ask in the comments if youre curious)
I ADDED NEW MANGAS TO MY EMPTY LIST, WILL IT OVERWRITE THE OLD ONE
- if you ADD NEW mangas while the site is restoring, your new list will stay. And your original list will be added back on top of it once its fully restored. But if you RE-ADD EXISTING mangas, it will update the original date of when the manga was added, tags, and summaries/little notes you originally had for it. its usually best to wait and let the restoration finish before making lots of changes
WHY DO OTHERS HAVE THEIR MANGAS BACK ALREADY, WHILE MINE IS STILL MISSING
- think of this like we're reading through a giant BOOK of everyone’s manga list, arranged by the exact time each manga was added (aka timestamps). Each timestamp is like a page in the book, and we read them from the oldest timestamps to the newest. Right now, we are reading timestamps from Feb 2022 (as of writing this post), so any timestamp dated later than Feb 2022 wont appear YET
If your lists are still completely EMPTY, there are 2 possible reasons:
One is that its about “activity”, not account age. So even if you joined in 2016, but you didnt add any manga until 2023, your list wont appear until the system reaches the timestamps for 2023. The second reason is, since the system is very busy right now, it sometimes hits a blurry page and has to skip to keep moving. This doesnt mean your data is gone. It just means the system needs to go back for a second run once the "main reading" is done
HOW SOON WILL THEY COMEBACK / WHEN IS THE RESTORATION EXPECTED TO FINISH
- how soon your lists fully comes back depends on how far along we are in the “book” and how many timestamps we still need to read. If yours already started to appear again then thats a good sign. it means your account is already in the queue and the rest should continue to come back (gradually, not all at once)
If theres another run, expect anywhere from a few extra hours to about one extra day. A full second pass could push it to Feb 4–5, but a partial cleanup run would likely finish around Feb 2–3.
IS THERE A WAY TO EXPORT MY LIST

IMPORTANT: WHEN TO CONTACT SUPPORT
- PLEASE WAIT. Do not email the devs yet. The system needs to make several runs to load everyone's data correctly. Most of the current issues should fix themselves after the full restoration process is done. Give it at least 2 weeks from now.
If after everything finishes and youre still seeing clear errors in your marked mangas, report them to [email protected]
If possible, keep a small log of your observations and what you did, such as:
⠀⠀⠀*whether you re-added, edited, or deleted mangas during restoration
⠀⠀⠀*any repeated issues (random logouts, missing notifs, errors, etc.)
⠀⠀⠀*the other specific errors you noticed
Simply put, keep a log of WHAT YOU DID/OBSERVED and WHEN (use GMT or if in your local time, specify your timezone). The more specific your report is, the easier it is for the devs to trace what went wrong. It helps them replicate your actions so they can actually find and fix the problem

2026-01-26 9PM: I noticed my list went missing
2026-01-28 2AM: my list is restoring up to 67
2026-01-28 9PM: I added 10 mangas to my Already Read
2026-01-30 6PM: my restored mangas is stuck at 67
2026-01-31 10AM: my list count is increasing again. It restored up to 83
2026-01-31 7PM: I added 3 mangas to my Want to Read

Never seen a rapist ML get such severe lashings for being a rapist ML lmao. Props to the writer for deciding to go this route (i assume because of the harsh comments from the official readers) but I do wish the writing felt a little more developed. It sorta feels like the dialogue is just repeating over and over. I lowkey feel like dudes about to off himself or at least try to which would be crazyyyy.
I like my yaoi men whipped to high hell, but this is like… gross… like it’s genuinely creepy and unsettling, immature, selfish, and lowkey makes me think Inseo’s a bad person. Trying to cut him off from all human contact, literally abandoning all his responsibilities and aspirations just to force constant interaction. The only reason why this relationship is still going when any normal person would’ve shut this nonsense down immediately is because of how whipped Hyeok also is. Inseo is LITERALLY a gaslighting manipulator and that’s… not hot lmao

Thank god they made the obvious choice endgame. I felt like I was going to have an aneurysm over the triangle because Heeseop was SO obviously the perfect choice. Genuinely kind, sexy af, respectful, actually WAY more mature and collected than anyone gave him credit for, and was the only love interest who didn’t absolutely betray and hurt Jihan. Both of the other dudes were going through shit and whatever, but Jihan was WILLING to open his heart up! He tried! I actually love that he follows the rule of no second chances. Both dudes did something that made him want to give up on opening his heart to anyone forever, so to then start complaining when he sticks to his guns? Screw off! The tan dude (barely) was always so vindictive and rude and selfish and unromantic. Even if he did genuinely love Jihan, the way he showed it SUUUUCKED. The second he started flaunting his privilege over both Jihan and Heeseop had me practically clawing at the walls as someone who’s perpetually broke. It’s just such a gross and skeavy thing to do, to basically say someone’s an unworthy freak because they don’t have a car and can’t throw money whenever they hurt their lover. Like how about some emotional support? Some actual connection? Reassurance beyond “nooo choose me I like you so much you’re mine I own you I control you”. Anyways, finally the outcome of a love triangle doesn’t piss me off. Heeseop is perfect.

I’m not gonna lie… I might have cracked a SMALL… VERY SMALL… smile at the end of that last chapter it’s still fuck him till the cows come home, but the propaganda affected me just a smidge.
I genuinely don’t know where the authors going. “Yeah he’s a racist, rapist, abuser, assaulter, murderer, committed a genocide, and is the main cause of MC’s hatred and suffering… but he fuck and kiss and clean wound he inflicted so goood :DDDD” like am I really supposed to sit here and wait for mc to actually just… accept him? Maybe im crazy, but whenever it gets this far in these types of stories, i genuinely start hoping the mc will do something truly baller like straight up off himself (a successful attempt or not) out of nowhere just so that we can see the pos truly lose his mind. It would surely make the experience more enjoyable for me, that’s for sure.
They’re so ridiculously cute and loving, and this has some of the best smut scenes I’ve seen plus one of the best ML’s, but god I wish the author would just… slow down lmao. I’ve been thinking this since the beginning, but it felt like their transition into falling in love and dating and becoming emotionally attached happened near instantaneously because we didn’t get to see like any of their relationship develop besides sex. Sometimes drama can be good for character development, and it feels like their characters didn’t really face any drama within their relationship. Now we have legit speed-running where they get married over 2 chapters, have sex for 3, and go through the entire process of pregnancy to having twins in 1 chapter with no showing of the actual pregnancy process. I get wanting a short little romance bl with a lot of smut and fluff, but this art and these characters are way too good, so I really really wish it felt like their relationship developed and grew from something with more substance. The family stuff is great and really well done, but their relationship would be that much better and more impactful if its foundation had a little more depth besides sexual compatibility and attraction.

Idk if it’s just me, but I hate that villain trope where they’re just soooo affluent and soooo unbothered that they just smile and fuck people over calmly for no reason except boredom and because they want to, and they act like they’re above others when they react emotionally. Like the whole “awww, I think it’s so cute how flustered you are, Im gonna keep ruining your life and making you miserable with a dead smile because I’m rich and like drugs and alcohol and moneyyyy”. It’s such a lame writing tactic and it makes the character insufferable, not in a compelling villain way, but in an I roll my eyes and skip ahead every time they speak kind of way. I get they’re meant to be like sociopathic, but I feel like their comeuppance is never satisfying because no matter what, they always just stand there like :)

My least favorite thing about stories and characters and writers like this, it’s not even just the constant SA, it’s the fact that these writers hate writing bottoms that actually at least attempt to defend themselves. I don’t mean saying no and stop 1000 times, or furrowing your eyebrow, or any of that. They won’t kick, punch, push, bite, anything to actually make it clear and pain as day that the character doesn’t want to just roll over and take it. WTF do you mean he asks to JUST be friends after a brutal assault??? WHY THE FUCK ISNT HE CUSSING HIM OUT?? WHY ISNT HE RUNNING AWAY THE FIRST CHANCE HE GETS??? Why does he refuse to let him know just how fucking shitty he is for doing that?? So now the fuckass ML gets to sit there and pretend that he didn’t just brutally r@pe the MC and they’re still just gonna go about their day. I’m just so sick of yaoi artist writing their bottoms as mentally and physically weak men who can’t defend themselves let alone stand up for themselves, because even though it’s very clearly and obviously SA, completely and utterly unredeemable, and actually one of the worst fucking things you can do to someone, they still want to have a cop out of why this dude will remain the main love interest because the MC doesn’t treat the situation as it is. Because if the MC DID actually do literally anything to show that he’s fighting against what’s happening besides crying and saying no and cumming a million times (then letting him KEEP TOUCHING him afterwards), then they wouldn’t be able to be like “oooo my toxic ml is soooo sexy and complicated” like NO! HES AN ABUSIVE PREDATOR?!??! Even if he wouldn’t be able to overpower him, biting his fingers when he stuck them in his mouth, punching him, saying anything during or after that alludes to “Hey!
