I mean I've been friends with her for almost 4 years and I just get a yearning for her I have nobody else to ask because I don't want to talk to my friends about this... Like I have never had a crush but maybe it is a crush?? I'm super confused and I feel like the people on this site are probably some of the best people to ask I won't ever tell ......

I know the author included it as a bit of angst and a reason for them to have a close bond in such a short story
I think that's where the trouble lies, it's so short that they only have met a couple of times and the longest time they spent together was when one of the characters was underage
I know how hard writing can be, so I'm not going to be like the author could easily have wrote more chapters to develop their relationship more
But I think the story could have been less creepy(?) if it was
