I genuinely thought this would be one of those stories where such scenes are given only at the end (and that that is the natural progression)
and I'm genuinely happy to be proven wrong
I didn't think I needed those wonderful moments between them (before the ending no less)
I.... didn't expect to cry and be touched over a horror manga.
That was great and surprisingly wholesome

If I remember right, the roger crew couldn't say the truth because it wasn't time yet, right? ('cause joyboy wasn't "born" yet)
So that's why Gol ushered in the pirate age to bide time for joyboy's coming, and urge people to seek out the truth themselves
(w/c can make things more believable vs just declaring the ridiculous truth that was hidden for centuries since they would, by then, have a more personal experience with the "oddities" of their current world as a whole)
And now, the time is riping
- "joyboy" has been reborn as luffy
- more and more people have come to doubt the world gov't -> it'll be easier for them to believe that the WG has been twisting the truth/been unfairly ruling over them

Feru = that cool uncle who invites his nephew to frequent (mis)adventures
Sui = child (he's SO frickin adorable)
Dora-chan = the older cousin who happily joins in the child's shenanigans and would often make it wilder than it should be
