Generally this sort of thing is sorted with time, but it might be helpful to imagine what the others at work might be thinking or going through, and remember that everyone has felt awkward or afraid before. Theres a lot of hateful comments here, and as much I agree that yes this question itself is hurtful, I think the nonstop bullying isn’t going to fix it.
You need to understand that this is wrong, obviously you haven’t been taught there are some things you shouldn’t say anywhere.
