It‘s annoyingly unfortunate how much better complex plot-lines and yearning are handled in yaoi compared to josei and yuri. With both of them it somehow always feels like someone has written them by checking off boxes of tropes … the plot almost always consists of a bunch of incoherent strings tied together in a strained effort to create ANYTHING for a quick cash-grab. Save for some exceptions I have been so disappointed lately, I can‘t find anything good or unique to read even though I make an active attempt to give everything a shot. Please save me

Am I the only one who really hates guideverse stories? I have tried so often and I just can‘t get into it no matter what, the concept is so boring after a while. Can‘t believe someone said it‘s better than omegaverse

    I think you‘re confusing omegaverse with nameverse, there usually aren‘t fated partners

    I like guideverse as a concept but haven't enjoyed many of the titles on this site, so I get it to an extent.

    Maybe check out Approximal Guide? That was the one I personally enjoyed.

    This is why I prefer the guideverse novels more than the manhwa adaptations tbh, like in some stories they skip out a lot of important parts and scenes to make readers understand the story more. This is why I read some of them for the pretty art and that's it.

    Nah it’s not just u. I can never find myself getting into them, but tbh it’s probably more to do with the fact that they’re in some form of hunterverse a lot of the time. (I don’t like hunterverse ) but also tbh I just can’t get into any sort of ultra modern sci-fi setting normally. Also I feel like guideverse has more restrictions on what its characters can do. Like with omegaverse u can still have some creativity with settings and the characters professions. But with guideverse most of the characters already come with their traits. Like yk one is a guide, one is an esper, and those are their respective jobs. I think those restrictions make guideverse feel more repetitive.

I need some more yandere webtoon recommendations ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ anything that has the usual „possessiveness“ tropes, or the one-night-stand one, where the seme wakes up and get‘s offended that the uke just up and left without telling him, or tries to leave in the morning and act nonchalant. Doesn‘t even have to be any of those, it could just be a normal story with a yandere uke or seme
