I wouldn't really mind seeing rape in fiction as long as it's used as a plot device for character development. But what crosses the line is when rape is romanticed as something romantic. It baffles me how much rape is in yaoi and how the rapist still get the victim in the end. I know it's just fiction, but if you portray it as 'sexy' and 'romantic'......

i dont agree with it tbh. you may know the difference between fantasy and reality but the author probably doesn't and you are probably reading their fetish. imo there is no need to include or read anything including rape unless it was some sort of fetish of yours which is a big no no and it does not get a good message across as it normalizes rape. ......

I don't mind rape in mangas/manhwas at all. I mean I know it's fiction and I'm almost 100% sure that authors who draw the typical rape to love trope do not support rape in real life nor will they rape someone. Also I think it's really rude to hate on a manga/manhwa or author bc they romanticize rape, it's their work and they can draw what they want......

Countless abusive relationship in real life share features common in romance stories (gay or hetero). Tbh I feel the same as you. As long as the artist/author/translator clearly state that they're against rape in reality, and also put trigger warnings for those who aren't comfortable reading such thing, then I don't understand why people still hate on them.
