I dropped this novel cuz before ML knew that MC was actually older than he appeared to be he literally called him sexy, he called a kid sexy. Call me sensitive whatever that was my ick so I dropped it, the plot whatever ppl are gonna like it. They might exclude that part in the manhwa tho, who knows.

Btw I just started re reading the Soul Fire novel and I didn’t see the part in which he called him sexy. I only saw the one in which he texts him that he’s sexy but that’s after he finds out that MC is 200 years old and it’s a joke. ML also finds out that MC is old af pretty early on, he is suspicious of him when he doesn’t know what age he is supposed to be and can read in Chinese. I may have missed it since I skimmed through couple of chapters. Do you remember when he said it?

WELL THIS WAS A SHIT SHOW RIDE, I read till idk chapter 49 or something, no clue. But holy crap i feel so bad for the male lead, the main character is an absolute piece of shit. He starts working at this cafe and after finding out the boss is an omega they start flirting and seeing each other, MC tells all his friends except for the male lead cuz he knows he won't be okay with it. During this time the MC is super mean to the male lead, he makes him cry on several occasions and hurts his feelings, like at that point honestly they should've introduced another character and the male lead should've gone off with them so that the MC gets knocked back to his senses as cliche as that trope is it's 500 times better than what actually happened. But basically me along with several other readers realized, holy shit, this is lowk not savable

Uh, did we read the same series? I feel like you're being way too nice to the top, he definitely was doing shitty things too (way more than the bottom imo). The top never properly explained his feelings to the bottom, so he doesn't know he actually likes him, he thinks it's a casual sex buddy thing. The bottom is not being intentionally mean to him. The top runs off crying in ch34 because the bottom tells him he doesn't want to have sex with him anymore because he likes someone else (the omega), and the top gets upset and says he doesn't want to stop their sexual relationship... They can just keep it a secret and still do it... That's messed up bro... Then he runs off crying because he's upset and embarrassed.
He also has sex with the bottom while he's completely sober and the bottom is literally passed out drunk. Then beating him and raping him in the alley.... Mega yikes.
Brother, wake up, me not going into the nitty gritties doesn't make me wrong. The communication was ass and him being hung up on someone who hurts his feelings, doesn't agree with his terms etc just made the story drag on endlessly. Also a huge part of what is wrote got deleted idk why that keeps happening with mangago, but I wrote about the scene that you said where they beat each other up and the rape scene.
The latter part of the first one disappeared, and it makes what I say sound really mean, sorry. Ofcs it sounds like you didn't read what I said, cuz it's legit not there
But basically yeah I brought up the rape scenes, I wanted to say "it was unsavable, the author is gonna make the ml do something bad so neither character have to apologize and solve anything instead they stoop down to equal low levels. Which is exactly what happened cuz there was two rape scenes, the drunk bs and the ass whooping one, it's very shitty and really highlights the lack of writing skills the author has to rely on such a shitty, disgusting, hated and cliché stereotype."
I didn't mean to portray the ML as a saint, it was more meant to tell the readers about the authors lackluster writing skills and the shitty cliche tropes (miscommunication/no communication, random 3rd party love rival, rape.

Thank you for the warning! It's annoying when author's default to SA as if it's an entertaining plot device. You can write an interesting story without it, and you can have characters go through struggle and hardship without it. Or at least try to treat it with respect
