The greenhouse will catch fire by accident-> grandmother gets hurt -> uncle Bill gets blamed and gets imprisoned -> the Duke blackmails layla into becoming his mistress in exchange of vetting her uncle out of prison -> they sleep together a lot -> Kyle come back and finds out -> layla acts like she really loves the Duke to drive Kyle away and starts getting depressed -> uncle bill finds out -> layla and uncle bill run away -> duke searches for layla and when unable to find them, gets depressed and sick -> layla is pregnant.
I only read till here. The duke finds out where layla is and that is when I lost all hope of her ever being free from that man
