Mc tried to push him off but she couldn't and gave up. Ml was 'satisfied' w this. Then ml asked y mc would run away and all saying he alr broke the engagemnt. Mc said she didnt want her child taken away from her and wanted to properly raise it. Mc act had an angry face so she rlly didnt want to meet this man tbh.

Tbh i dont like the ml. He didnt do anything when mc was being abused by his sis. Now he's even using her as a sacrifice to 'protect' his sis from an illegitimate rumour that hasnt even happened yet. And when mc sincerely loved him, he called her a "plaything". No wonder gurl never truly felt her love reciprocated. If only ml wasnt the one salvation and solace she found during her bad days, i'd rather wanna see her w her childhood friend. He rlly cares for mc. Sum up, mc simply got caught up w the heavenly calamity that was directed to the real protagonist. So ml used a nullification spell to protect mc and in exchange ml got hurt. Next panel just shows that mc opened the system to give ml the medicine whilst being carried away.
Bcs of cultivation, mc got his memories unsealed. Now he knows he has a system etc

Cant believe i just read that. If a snake could be reborn into a manhua, then this is it. The whole plot keeps twisting and turning, going back and forth from 900 yrs ago to the present. I cant count how many times i got lost within the plotline. What's for sure is that this all happened cuz the life extending technique (soul transfer) was made possible. Hence, the story got more complicated and complex as it went on. Otherwise, it's rlly heartwarming and fun to read
