So, I think that the reason their quests have not ended is bc they both haven’t accepted the fact that they were made for each other, even in their past life together. I do also think that the reason their red string appears for that girl is bc she was “supposed” to be his soulmate but bc the seme tied the uke’s finger in their past life, he’s now with him. Chapter 13 explains that the red string can be forcibly connected when one person ties the red string on the person they want to be their soulmate.
