Quite conflicting for me. When Gaionia was shown to test Zenus' child by offering him poison, lying that it was the medicine brewed from the arm (blood and flesh) of his mother, the child though saddened chose to drank it. In a sense, I could understand why Gaioni might think that way. A child, that drinks the flesh and blood of their parents, would betray them later on because it could be taken as if they take their parents lightly.
However, in this case, the sacrifice was already done. The child was in no state to be making sane decisions as it was threatened to make a choice about a cause that cannot be reversed. Zenus' arm was already brewed into medicine, and the worst part is, this whole situation was fabricated by "curiosity" and doubt of Gaionia about his children's cherished ones' loyalty over them. If Gaionia had not used his children's desperation against them, they wouldn't have made such a drastic choice . That's quite ironic that to test them, he drove them to a corner in the worst way possible.
If I was the kid and heard my mother sacrificed an arm and a leg to keep me alive, I would have drank it too although maddened by sorrow and guilt, because I wouldn't want to waste my mother's sacrifice. This is just how complex human's emotions are. Gaionia wouldn't ever come to understand as they are a being that don't possesses the instincts and emotions that comes from survival since they are, well, immortal. Since they do not struggle and do not understand that concept of pain and sadness, they won't ever fully grasp the ordeal their children went through. The thought of loss is foreign to them except the "love" and "betrayal" of his children.
But bueno, what happened already happened. Gaionia is an immortal selfish apathetic fool who has brought their own "misery".
I'm just a little disappointed at the harem ending because it takes away the trust athy and lucas might feel for each other (okay, might be biased cuz I'm a huge athy x lucas shipper). I did kinda liked the change and second opportunity they gave to Claude and his brother to reconcile a bit and the mini happy ending they gave to Jennette, but mannn what the heck. It's not Ijekiel being there, but the fact that Athy seemed to not be able to choose makes it wishy-washy. Sure, he's been a support for her for situations, but I never found a situation where Athy, the transmigrated one, would feel any romantic love for him, mostly because inside she's way older than him. Lucas' and Athy's spiritual age just feels better suited for each other. Damn, this just set me off. Sorry to all the Ijekiel's fans. This ruined it for me (I'm really biased)
Me too... I'm not even lucathy fans, and i like ijekiel too, but seeing athy cannot choose between 2 ml's and end up harem is set me off. ಠ_ಠ
Athy better with lucas only (because their interaction from the beginning to the end manhwa is deep and sweet), i really hope author/spoon can give ijekiel move on moment and give him true love (and my baby jennette too!) but the ending destroyed my hope Ó╭╮Ò
He's brainwashed, sure. It's normal to feel sympathy over his up-bringing. However, I believe that it doesn't add up. Clearly he has some type of obsession with her, the day he found her when he witnessed the deadness in her eyes. It just doesn't add up to him simply feeling brotherly love... I can't put my finger into this feeling yet, but it gives me the creeps.
I do understand that he's a victim to his own father's abuse and threats, and I know he's doing this to "protect" her. However, one thing I've noticed from what's shown is that his father has never ever broken his own promises over things, and the recent chapter where he got angry over the monks having abused his "daughter" showed he wouldn't allow it to happen again, as he promised his son. I wonder how the story would have been if the FL had received that "freedom" that time. I don't defend the father though, I despise him to the core over how neglectful and abusive he is just like his greed. I just wonder what caused the original "Ruby" to end up like what was showed in the end. In Caesar's point of view, he hadn't laid his hands on og Ruby before, and it seems og Ruby did cherish him before. Was it that og Ruby also rejected the marriage with the Duke? Why did she wish for the downfall of her family, as she was also brainwashed to believe she was loved wholely as she is. I say so as Caesar clearly doesn't love her healthily and is insanely obsessed with her.

What is everyone talking about? What chapter 79 ?! There's only till chapter 77 here. I'm hella scared. What is going on
