FL isn't bad but the way her whole world revolves around ML gets too much at point. The family of hers also doesn't show much in the story even though the og FL's entire wish was to be healthy to be with her family.

ML also acted like a major dickhead in the starting, like he was so unkind to her and she still kept loving him for no apparent reason rather than him being a second lead in a novel she read. She had chronic illness and he didn't allow her to have firewood in a snowy country. Like bro?

There isn't much of a plot and its a lighthearted read but ML's behaviour towards FL and FL still being at his beck and call was hard to swallow. I understand that she's supposed to be his stan and all but would u actually accept this kind of behavior from ur fav character?

I remember when this first came out and it just hit so aptly in all the right places. I cried back then and I cried all the other times I picked it up again. The story, dialogue and plot is top-tier. I was very impatient and the updates were understandably slow so idek how I got the mtl novel and finished it so I could have my peace. I have reread it multiple times and it made me cry every single time. I can't believe it has been 6 years. It has been quite some journey. I'm happy I picked it up. If I could, I would reset my memory and read it again now that it is completed. Ah well, patience hasn't been my virtue lol so can't really complain haha

Story is okay, nothing too bad but nothing really stands out either for me. Initially the plot was interesting and different but it feels like there's too much going on for no reason. I alsp feel confused and bored but I'm interested to know how it ends. FL is strong but idk it kinda seems like most of the characters are quite flat.

It was a good read initially but its so weird that she changed so much after her disciples appeared. Wdym u don't care about them kids when u built ur entire persona over how one must be a good adult when its about Claude? Its just very hypocritical- she's so harsh on them. Then I read another spoiler that she won't care when one of them dies either. Why did they change her character so much?? So she only cares about kids when they're important part of the novel? Or its just claude and his father whose name i cant remember? It feels like there's no depth anymore

Bruhh the brother was such an ass, i wish there was a more satisfying downfall for him. But its all good ig cuz Mc and ML were cute together. There was no unnecessary drama between them and even though the story frustrates you initially because of the same shitty brother, the relationship between the leads later on heals you.

After reading the initial chapters, I was really curious to see how the author is going to make it work for the leads to make them end up together. Both the leads seem to be on the very opposite ends of social ladder and their characters are ambiguously grey. And I think they do suit each other well as the author has me fully convinced with this.

Also - people keep throwing one character under the bus for their other fav character in comments, but truly, they're both the victims and both at fault too. It doesn't make them bad of course, and its such a refreshing realistic take. It just adds to the many layers of their characters, like the ML's trauma, FL's ignorance and naivety, etc.

Author has done such a good work in portraying all these characters and their complicated emotions in a realistic way. Its so well written!!

I picked this long time ago and finally finished it. I really liked the FL, even more than the ML. Yes, she's an airhead and has flaws, but she is not frustratingly oblivious or naive. I think her character really suited these traits because how else you'd go around making alcohol shots in a banquet and fuxk a duke on ur first meet in that era lol? She's lovable and sweet and I'm so glad I finished this.

Its so so good!! I really love the way the relationship between the leads is shown and how it feels so natural and realistic. You can almost relate to the way they keep acting because of how hard they're crushing on each other. Its so sweet, and cute and I just love everything about this story

I've read this twice now and I think I cried way much more this time. Story starts from being creepy, goes to anxious, depressing, lost, angst, toxic and just sad af. I think this might be one of the stories where I really didn't want to read smut because it was kind of a hindrance for me and I was kinda impatient to know what happens next. Overall it was a good heavy feel read but one should avoid it if ur in a dark place

I have lot to pick here because my head literally hurts now. The main characters act so damn cliche like be fr. At one point when ML says you're pathetic to MC, i ended up laughing out loud because how ridiculous their dialogues are seriously.

Also the whole im gonna chain you to bed for your own safety ml & I know things are dangerous but Im still going to be reckless mc is so common now - i hate it so much good god.. like there's no common sense at all.

And whats with mc and that weirdass sympathy for that villainess like are u fr? U saw her kill someone and all that evil shit as an adult too and u think pOwER of wOrDs is gonna make her confess to her crimes and serve jail????? I hate how authors can't make a character kind and good until and unless they're dumb as a pole. Like he can be all those things and be mature too yk? But no, he has blush on his face and a beauty mark under his eye so he must be dumb as a rock so he can all sugar and nice.

I really hatedball the characters except Jin and the initial character design for ML.
