Why the hell did I trust the comments saying the story was good? The story is trash. The plot makes no sense. There’s zero development. Even the smut scenes are horrible—out of 49 chapters, the bottom only seemed to feel pleasure once. The rest just read like rape for 49 chapters straight. And for the people saying “it’s realism,” I don’t get it. Sure, emotions can be logical, but not to the point of an obsession that drags on for years and destroys you and everyone around you. And the so-called love story? Absolute garbage. It’s not love, it’s just a toxic, unhealthy obsession. There are way better stories out there. I honestly regret wasting my time on this.

From what I know, the author rushed the ending due to their health. They had lots of planning for it but they weren't able to show it. I think, they even apologise for it.

I have a theory for the director. We know he's a man but I think he takes on this feminine appearance to resemble his "sister". Well I suppose since we can see her in the photo in a sort of small altar so I think she is dead and that the promise he made was to her.
