I think with the end of s2, I won’t be back to finish this. I was already really bummed out about them having sex and fl not being able to figure out her dead husband is actually her instructor. That made me not trust her narrative as a character really . But everything after that has kind of felt like it’s dragging or boring to be frank. So, I MIGHT come back to read this if say I randomly think about it. Or see it. But more than likely I will won’t. Overall it’s interesting, but for me personally the story falls through when she isn’t able to identify ML even after intamcy.

Another case of Stockholm syndrome. I mean, the situation itself is messed up. But to CHOOSE to stay with a man after he , r4ped , tortured you, as well as forcefully turned you into an omega so he could so? Well what else could it be but that?

I gave this a chance because it was mentioned in a new manhwa that’s ongoing right now. For a moment I thought this was going to end in tragedy. But I am happy it didn’t. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It had my heart racing in nervousness, excitement, even anger at one point. I like that kind of writing. I also had to grow on Theo as I felt he wasn’t expressive as I’m used to. But after getting to know his character I noticed the subtlety, body language, dialogue, etc. I also enjoyed how the story touched on how Theo was a part of the war that destroyed Seth’s tree, and there is genuine regret on Theos end. And we get to see how Seth forgives Theo for that. And how he and his people are a peaceful people, I really enjoyed this 5/5 for me.

So first off, this should have a “dark romance “ tag. MAYBE. But for sure something that notifies people this is a dark story.

1. Valery repeatedly rapes Asil throughout the entirety of this story. I don’t know if the 80 chapters is it, or if there’s more to come. But absolutely nothing happens in the first 60 chapters that even hint at Asil liking what’s happening to him. He is raped and beaten by Valery. Over and over. That’s the hard and honest truth. At no point does he ever say he likes it nor does he consent. The only time he actively seeks Valery out is when he’s trying to make a bargain for his family’s financial stability.

2. Valery actively rapes and ENJOYS causing Asil pain during the time frame mentioned above. Not only does he beat and rape Asil, Valery tries to mentally break Asil every chance he gets . He calls him a whore and play thing, but for some reason is surprised when Asil refers to him that way.

3 Whenever Asil tries to make a friend or even is talked to by someone of the opposite sex, Valery becomes anxious and violent. And again, resorts to raping Asil. If it seems like I’m being reparative, that’s on purpose because I really need whomever is reading this to understand that 90% of the interaction between the MLs is Nonconsensual . Like not even dubcon just flat out sexual assault.

4. I’m assuming Asil has a lot of pride, a trope I enjoy is when the MC threatens to k ll themselves in order to get the person pursuing them’s attention that they would rather die that endure. It I suppose in this story Asils family is what kept him from doing that at first, but once his sister betrayed him, and lured him back to Valery after 2 years , Which is MUCH later on, that would have been the time. OR maybe when his brother went off to study abroad. I mean it was still rape at that point. And Asil even takes a poison vial from what’s his face to slip in Valerys drink. We’ll never know if he would have actually done it, as Vallery found it first, but id think Asil would have done it given he stabbed Valery before

5. I genuinely think this is a case of Stockholm syndrome because there is no way realistically that you could fall for a person who violated you over and over to the point of you expecting to be hit when you talk back, and when you aren’t hit, you ask to be hit. I’m also not really sure I understand why Asil took the promotion to Lieutenant . I do understand by that point he was kind of resigned to his situation but I mean this is just crazy. I’ve seen some sick shit, this wasn’t as bad graphically/visually but I felt sick reading timst of this/the sex scenes. And even much much later when it starts being consensual, if you can call it that. It felt off. Forced even.


6. Bottom line is Asil should have escaped in Jenuka. He shouldn’t have come back to Vallery. And this should have ended in tragedy for Valery. He literally just raped Asil over and over until he decided he wanted Asils heart. To which we even see enternal monologue from Asil being frustrated that now not only does Valery want him to open himself up to him whenever he wants it like a whore, but he also wants his soul. Valery starts to “reflect” on what he’s done, but it can’t even be called that really. Not the beginning. And even as of ch.80. He makes a deal with Asil to let him go if his heart hasn’t swayed in a month , and when he awakens from jumping from the 2nd floor to save Asil, and doesn’t see him around. Valery immediately says he will find Asil and won’t honor the promise they made. Only because Asil has NO ONE, not his traitor sister, his horrible father, died at birth mother, or even his younger brother . Does he start developing “feelings” for Valery. It’s sinply Stockholm syndrome.


This was a hard read for me. BUT written well. I’m assuming we’re supposed to hate Valery. I personally am not forgiving him. I mean he’d trash. Motherfucker hasn’t changed really, no redemption, and no apology could ever amount to all of what he’s done to Asil. Seriously. But I do want to see this through to the end. So I’ll stick around to read to the end. But the 3/5 rating will stay regardless. Whomever cooked this up is banned from all cookouts and from touching utensils.

I may drop this. Because she said she could tell her husbands pp from just doing it. LIAR! Cuz she doesn’t even have a clue. We are still probably waiting for him to tell her that it’s him. LIES!!! AHHH what was I expecting? Her to wake up and be like “wait a minute…. That pp curved up and hit all the right spots just like my husbands pp….” And then confront and investigation. Instead we get him clipping her toes like a cracray person when she wakes up. LIAR! Such a liar. I’ve genuinely lost all confidence in her..

I searched for this. Like high and low and finally asked in here with the alt name. I was so very excited bc it looked good. (It’s rare to find good mafia hetero manhwa with decent art) and so I got started, and the translation was bad. Gotta be honest, but I thought, well the art isn’t so bad, but the story just doesn’t make any fucking sense. I mean yes, I get that the girl is in debt, and stole money from the loan shark/mafia guy she works for. But then I ASSUME she’s paying him back with her body because nothing is ever really explained outside of “promissory note” when the guy finds out she stole from him. Then there’s this, what I can only assume is supposed to be, hot rough sex between them but honestly with the art it just looks like they’re going at it and the girl is having a hard time and the guy is just getting his rocks off. That’s always a pet peeve of mine with these hetero mafia/mob boss manhwas. I’ve read a good few where the Ml Is trash and it’s justified by him being a “gangster” when I’ve read GREAT BL Mafia Boss manhwa that does it soooo right. I’ve also read a couple okay hetero manhwa with mafia genre but WAY MORE that are ass than ones that are good. This sucks. And I’m dropping. I’m sad that I wasted my time.

This had a lot of potential. It started out like okay as angst. And I was happy she followed through and left. But when the duke FOLLOWED HER, and wouldn’t leave her alone, continuously stuck his nose in thing to intentionally manipulate and make things harder for her, I was just fed tf up. Not only does she sternly tell
Him to go away, HE HASNT APOLOGIZED ORRR GROVELED in any shape or form. He’s just pushed his way into her life again after treating her like absolute shit. I managed to get through 41 chapters before deciding to give this crap a rest. I mean she’s got courage, but she’s dumb. I mean she managed to pay her fathers debt, flip flowers for gold and use that money to expand: but won’t tell the duke to leave her alone?? And then plot armor comes and has a random bandit attack her and lo and behold, guess who breaks down her door for the SECOND TIME, to get in her house because he “panicked”? I mean the whole premise is mid but he genuinely treated her like crap, yes there was miscommunication but the bottom line is when she needed him, he could never show up for her. Dropped.

ATP it’s kind of dragging. I thought they would immediately do it once she saw her husbands “shell “ or that she would just screw that other guy who reminded her of her “husband” I’m just about ready to drop this because of the pace. I’m keeping up with this week to week and I feel like I’ve been being edged for like 3 + weeks with this.
