I've seen where alphas can get pregnant. It's just harder. That's why alphas mate with other alphas when they are of high rank. And then try to have an alpha kid. I've seen many ones like that.

The omegaverse rule differs from manga to manga, from what i know there really isnt an established rule on how impregnation should work in omegaverse so the authors make their own based on the most commonly used concepts (like the alpha, beta, omega, etc etc)

yeah i get that (alphas mating with alphas at least makes a little bit of sense) but like i said in a reply here, the way the author made it in the story, it doesn't make sense anymore. (even though male alphas could just simply mate with female ones lol)

omegaverse has no solid rules, but it has certain aspects that define it. no one in this manga ever used his pheromones, the only appeared when the omega was in heat, but that was it. alphas only are able to hold the high position in society BECAUSE of those pheromones and their usual stronger build. the mangaka never bothers to explain why alphas are seen as high in the society.

i thought it were the standard reasons, but when an alpha can easily be raped by betas and omegas, even ending up pregnant, and is totally weak like any normal human in this situation, it can't be the usual reason, because obviously the alphas have no power. so why are they treated better? why do alphas and betas not mate more often? it's not like alphas can only produce alphas (also as seen in this manga), so??

and like i pointed out, tons of omegaverse stuff doesn't make sense anymore.

this story feels a little bit like sex pistols, everyone could pregnant there, (even though pheromones were uses there) and high rank animals and low ranks existed. it doesn't feel like omegaverse though.

I've read a ton of omegaverse yaoi at this point and they all follow basically the same rules as this one. Maybe this one doesn't explain everything as well since authors probably think readers might have already read lots in the genre, idk. It's rare for alphas to get raped or impregnated but it is possible. A lot of mangaka use the omegaverse as a pretense for prejudice and that serves as something for the characters to surmount. That is, alphas are only "thought" to be better because of historical implications, but in reality their differences aren't that great. Alphas are defined by their better intelligence and skill, but it's rarely ever black and white, and some alphas are worse and some betas/omegas are better. I don't think I've read any omegaverse yaoi where they can manipulate their pheromones? Omegas go into heat and emit strong pheromones and betas and alphas are weak to it, especially alphas, which means omegas get raped a lot more. Alphas are generally bigger and stronger and in better positions in society so it doesn't happen as much or for the same reasons. I've seen manga where the alpha actually does get pregnant so this didn't really shock me lol. I think to make an alpha, two alphas have to mate but I can't remember if that's right. But either way since they're considered better, an alpha would want to pair with another alpha. But only an alpha and an omega can be "fated." Betas are considered just normal so they're sort of just filler for unwanted omegas and weaker alphas.

I should add that I've read mostly newer ones (although I think the concept is itself is pretty new to Japanese yaoi) and I don't read fanfics or anything that use Omegaverse, so my understanding of it is completely limited to yaoi manga. If you're used to how it's used elsewhere it probably seems strange, but it's pretty congruent in everything I've read with only a few minor changes. A lot of things aren't explained to make sense in our human world, they're just weird random rules that have been adapted by mangakas (eg biting on the neck bonds the omega to the alpha)

yeah, i have the feelings many people reading the mangas have made the same experiences like you, which makes it probably hard to understand me haha

i don't wanna bash japanese omegaverse, but what you see in the mangas (except a few rare exceptions) has not really anything to do with omegaverse. (yeah yeah i know there are no written rules, but if you bend them too much, you just end up with a totally different idea)

omegaverse actually made sense, and omegas and alphas actually had a lot more differences. to explain it simply, is was inspired by teen wolf/ real wolves. alphas were strong leaders, and able to control other people with their pheromones (force them into submission), betas were normal humans (no mpreg, no females with dick), omegas were like the 'perfect match' for alphas, they were weak to the pheromones, had their own smell (to seduce), had heats, had masses of fluids to self-lubricate and had a higher fertility rate. since it's a universe made for gay fics, of course the stories were about male omegas, who because of the fact that they were omegas had a bad standing in society (males that can get pregnant, for both genders: want to be dominated, can't protect themselves, only good for childbirth, were practically used by alphas for sex and childbirth for centuries) pheromones and the animalistic characteristics were like the fundament of all the problems that came after.


of course there were minor differences in the stories (knotting, female alphas who can impregnate, when one develops his seond gender, fangs, mating, etc.)

when you compare this to the japanese omegaverse, i think you can see what i mean.
there is practically no difference between beta, alpha and omega. on top of that, with females having dicks and all males being able to get pregnant, no sex really exists anymore (or normal humans). why would males not have tits if everyone can get pregnant and girls developed dicks, why have alphas a higher standing in society? without their pheromones, it's hard to imagine an historic build up to this society. why would omegas even have heats, when everyone can pregnant, and omegas even have a lower fertility rate?

i just can't overlook all those questions and plotholes that come out of the changes (in combination with the fact that the good things of omegaverse got lost too, and i'm only left with mpreg and love between different ranks, which is fine but not what i was hoping for)

and there are different concepts about marking, but it again comes from wolves, and usually an alpha started to spread his pheromones on -his- omega so other would know he was taken, in combination with a biting mark on the neck (were the scent glands are located in omegaverse), some then made the mark into the thing spreading the smell or hindering the omegas own smell etc.

I get where you're coming from. Personally, to me the omegaverse concept is really strange and even the toned down version in yaoi took me a while to be okay with. Since you were already used to western omegaverse I can see why yaoi omegaverse would be strange. They don't really have explanations for things, it's more just a plot device like in the example I mentioned earlier. It gives the characters new things to overcome rather than the typical homosexuality taboos and gives new ways of exploring relationships. It also makes things that were already oversaturated in yaoi (rape and oversensitivity and arousal) have a more instinctual explanation. I think that's the extent of its purpose tbh, the full-on omegaverse would probably be too much for most fujoshis. I think there can be explanations made about the questions you brought up, but in general the structure just isn't as solid as the original concept. Despite that I've read a few decent omegaverse BL; I think if you try to look at them as a standalone thing you could find a few to enjoy! Kashikomarimashita Destiny isn't one of my top mangas by any stretch but I still find it enjoyable.

As you said, private sharing is not something that lasts long due to the nature of the internet. I'm personally in the "Spread it to everyone or drop it" camp, keeping the credits and links of course. But I know a lot of people cared enough about this story to keep it private for a long long time and I respect that. It very rarely happens and I wanted this one to succeed just to see if it can. Then one random person decided "f#ck it". So I'm disappointed once again, they almost made it. They could've been "The One". If they were uploaded after it was all translated and the translators washed their hands of responsibility then I'd be in the "f#ck it" camp too. I also feel that the best way to support a story is to buy it or make more people aware of it, not hide it away behind passwords. I'm in a love hate relationship with these sites. I know why they're horrible and hated, but the only reason I know about and have an interest in manga is because of them.

Also why only Shell's pheromones appear pink and sweet to Eric but the other vampire don't.

But I wonder how it works too, just like when Ellie met White, he said that her pheromone feels comfortable too. Maybe if a vampire has a kind heart their pheromone felt different?
