ch 1 author knows Ball lmfao
Besides that, I recognized that I read this novel already from the summary. Its called A Month With My Bias for those who want to read it.
With most adaptations they take a lot away from the scenes since its mostly the MCs inner thoughts (depending on the novel), and this time, it's not gotten any better.
They've cut down on scenes, understandable, but the buying water at the store was kinda important for setting up MCs Initial interactions with Haewoon.
Then I felt like they did um whats his name, Park Changgi, the older actor (?) a Lil dirty. He's a bit more, ehh, mean or can be seen as more old fashioned here, because they've taken out the scenes with him and the younger idol. He wasn't this (kinda) rude in the novel, he was likeable.
Then they completely skipped the guessing the song scene when MC lowkey almost gets outed as a fan for IMMEDIATELY guessing specter songs, and no character here brings it up when it was a moment of funny, embarrassing tension in the novel.
Of course, i get cutting back because the scenes would be WAYYY longer, but cutting them out completely was not the best choice.
Basically, the novel sets the characters personalities actually different than this adaptation. Even the MC they've changed. At first, he didnt know whether having a smart watch was cheating and he was confused but in this adaptation they only briefly mention it and kind of set up that he knew he was cheating (he didn't find out till the end in the novel but he used that to his advantage to get fourth place).
Its different for sure, but I can safely say i don't like it more than its novel version.
Haewoon was also more sus in the novel but it was just the right amount for us to be like, oh he's doesn't know MCs a fan, or maybe he does. Yknow?
Omggg y’all, what if the reason Pi Bada doesn’t remember is because Doha removed his tape, meaning all his memories of being players with other people are gone and somehow played the game himself alone?? And then Doha also removed Yong-Taek (the dumb guy who says dad jokes) his tape, which is why Yong-Taek was like, what happened these last couple rounds, meaning if you remove players tape, they look like regular NPCs the next couple rounds until you put their tape back in??? Pi Bada accidentally put Yong-Taek’s tape back in, which is why Yong-Taek suddenly remembers that he is a player now, and his memories of “playing” come back. They won’t remember that they played the game in the rounds you didn’t put their tape in. Where everyone’s tapes are located/appear are also a mystery.
I think Doha removed everyone’s tape, including his and maybe restarted with a NEW TAPE to reset absolutely everything and everyone, just so he could get closer to Pi Bada. Of course, they’d somehow find out everything one day, idkh, but it feels like something Doha would do, considering he’s so obsessed with Pi Bada. He has no memories of Pi Bada and everyone else, but he trusted himself enough to fall in love with Pi Bada again.
This is one of the few times were this would be a great story if they got rid of one aspect, the (forced) BL.
This would’ve been soooo much better if the romance was done in a completely diff way, even opposite I would say, especially since the ML is very unattractive etc.
The author/artist has drawn/written him like the handsome (lmao if he even is) villain who tries to force the MC, who finally gets stepped on by the way more attractive and handsome ML.
Essentially, a side character, he literally has no good points and even his toxicity isn’t attractive :(
Sad, ain’t it? Even his toxicity isn’t making people like him
So the only way I can explain it is Chinese traditional medicine. Throughout history, they’ve used some rather…morally questionable ingredients to make tonics
It’s the same thing with using a bull p*nis to make medicine, that’s all I can say lmaooo. But I know from reading Chinese novels that they find a snake p*nis or their gallbladder (maybe? Maybe not gallbladder, but they use it for some other stuff) to be used in “getting it up” or having a higher libido.
I don’t know if it’s true or not tho ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I don’t even think the traditional aspect of it is what’s throwing me tbh people been ingesting anything since the dawn of time it’s the concept of his little brother leaving behind? Presumably? His penis? The optics are confusing and it feels like such a strange momento like what happened to leaving a necklace or a drawing or something also HOW???? HOW DID HE LEAVE HIS PENIS?

Genuinely, this is one of the first times I've ever read a highly rated Manga and just felt a massive ICK. This whole story just did NOT vibe with me. Maybe because I thought it was too dramatic? Or rather I was looking for more angst dramatic, this was just extra dramatic
Which sucks, because there were scenes i truly enjoyed, but then the next moment I would just kinda cringe away. And it's like, ive read other Manga like this and not felt this way, but everything just seemed to fall flat or not have a strong emotional connection
and then the whole thing with the MOTHER OF ALL THINGS????? That was just nasty to me, tbh. Why in the hell would you play it up on live television knowing that the WOMAN PEOPLE ARE ACTIVELT HOPING YOURE DATING/BE WITH/HAVE KIDS WITH (Possibly) is your god damn MOTHER. Idk, Ive seen shit like this with like, sisters/cousins which kind of make more sense because they use the whole, oh I have a stalker or oh I dont want weird men hitting on me anymore so they use the ML as like, a clutch, but what the hell is thi
this? This just felt wrong on so many levels. And im not saying its perfectly fine for the whole sister/cousin thingy but im saying it makes more sense than whatever the hell went on in this Manga.
and fr, why would you not tell your own damn partner either????? this just makes it so much more sus.
ill be honest I had to stop reading after the whole mom thing, so I don't really know the whole story, but it wasn't like this Manga wasn't already pulling shit out of its ass anyways.
