It’s ok for clueless children to bully their little sister or for one on one sibling fights but it’s not ok for people to continue one-sidedly bullying well into adolescence. Maybe there was a misunderstanding but if she had to reach 26-27 for her to have a cordial relationship with her brothers then something is wrong with them. So far it suggests that the brothers weren’t just kid bullies but also adolescent and maybe even adult bullies.
She was the new child only for a year so it’s not like the parents had much chance to do damage. 1 year of suffering is not equivalent to 20. Especially since they weren’t actually mistreated. They were still talked to and given attention. They weren’t outright neglected. Yes they were hurt but not enough to validate their actions.
