Even if they aren’t blood related, they’ve grown up as brothers. It’s pretty rank. If two people who have never met fall in love and then find out they’re blood related, that makes way more sense as a relationship to me than “we grew up as brothers but turns out we’re not related so let’s fuck”

You don’t get notified as soon as something is updated, you get notified a couple of times a day with all the things that have new chapters. Sorry if you already know that and meant something else, but I find the notifications really consistent so I’m imagining that might be what your confusion is.
Choose your fandom, read and comment on other fics too. Think about WHY you want to write. For me it was “I like this ship, but there’s no fics, so I’m going to write them”.
I don’t read/write on ao3 any more, but I was very involved in the Haikyuu fandom, and I offered beta reading to people before I got my own betas. Doing a bang help......
