Okay hear me out after reading this chapter it got me thinking, do you remember in ch 173 when Ryu said to Madoka â WE'RE BOTH DAMAGED GOODS. THAT'S WHAT PULLED US TOGETHERâ.
When you think about it Ryu has said throughout the hole series that he is damaged and he knows it, he is always honest about heâs feeling or desires even though he knows itâs twisted.
Iâm not saying his behavior is okay at all but when you read his chapter and Koharu says that Ryu is still the same child he was when they first met as children. A child inside a grown up body that itself says a lot and explains the ways Ryu is now and why he is behaving like he does. A person who has been neglected from childhood and has traumas he still hasnât come over, stuck as a child and donât want to be lonely. It takes my perspective in another view and I can understand him better as a person though the hole story, when thinking back from all his action from the start.
Also I think and believe Koharu is more special to him than the others, she is a strong and honest woman. She doesnât have a struggled past and was grown up in a warm family. Ryu has never said that Koharu is âdamagedâ, he has said it to Madoka and Yuzu before when they met earlier. For him Koharu is a more stable person when it comes to his emotional baggageâs. They donât have a heavy past and their feelings is mutual when it comes to love. But I do think he cares and love the other two but I think there is a more special bond between Ryu and Koharu
When I first read this when it had not any official English translation yet I was so angry, felt frustrated, rage and everything. After some years and I read it again and tries to understand all the characters itâs easier to like and understand this story. This story is written very well, we are used to a relationship where is normal to be 2, but if our society had accepted a poly relationship then we would viewed this differently and would be accepting this more then we do now, also all the characters has their flaws and has their struggles and past. They are only humans and still very young when they go into this poly relationship.
All in all itâs a good written story, I have felt laughter, anger, frustration, sadness and so on, my belly hurt really bad sometimes especially when Ryu was trying to get Madoka back.
