"no character development", "we're going back", etc Are you dumb? i saw a user on tiktok explain and I could not have said it any better:
@sffr:I've seen many comments like "Maturing is accepting that Jaekyung will never change" no, Maturing is accepting that Jaekyung has changed. Why not, not everything is black and white as many want to see. It's not just saying "he's never going to change" and that's it, like people are the same all their lives. There are changes that are not perfect, that are not fast, and that not everyone knows how to notice. Jaekyung has changed, but in his own way. She opened up to Dan, showed parts of him that she didn't even let him see before, and that says too much. The problem is that many expect an idealized change, where he leaves everything behind from night to day, even his career, as if it were realistic. And it is not. In today's chapter it is more noticeable than ever. His eyes look different, like he's about to break, like he's carrying something very heavy inside. Because yes, although many don't want to see him, he is also sensitive, he is also human. But he doesn't want to be vulnerable. And it's not because he hasn't changed. It's because he learned to protect himself. After what is mentioned about his past, how he was talked about and left so badly, it clearly affects him more than he lets you see. His past weighs on him, that marks him, and that's why it's so hard for him to fully open up. It's not coldness, it's defense. Because when no one takes care of you, you learn to take care of yourself. And that's exactly what Jaekyung does. You keep things, you close it, not because you don't feel it, but because it's the only way you know how not to break it down completely. Maturing is not requiring someone to change the way you want. Maturing is understanding that there are internal battles that not everyone can see, that change also hurts, and that sometimes loving doesn't mean being able to leave everything behind. Jaekyung changed. But not everyone is ready to understand. and of course, that's my opinion, just my point of view. did we see the same manhwa?
You bitches will defend an abusive man to the ends of the earth Jesus. You say he’s human and has very human flaws and emotions and blah blah blah. I don’t give a shit, yk why? Because the person he abused was also a human with human emotions and human flaws. Things start being just black and white when you start hurting those around you, we have one requirement as human beings, to better ourselves, whether that is to heal or just improve it doesn’t matter. Nobody is blind, we can see that he is improving, but that just isn’t enough. Dan suffered so much at his hands and you think him healing HIMSELF, is enough redemption?? You’re sick in the head bro
Exactly. Yeah he went through shit but so did Dan. Hell Dan went through more shit than a little bit yet he’s not out there hurting ppl. Fuck that guy. Idc idc, even if he redeem himself (which I can see he’s trying) it’ll NEVER be enough!! But of course because of plot he will have his way like he been doing the whole time.
EXACTLY, Jk became a champion fighter and rich man from his dad childhood. Dan struggled through college, debt collection beatings and threats, sexual harassment and losing his professional job, only to... Get abused by Jk as another employer, get his heart broken. Funny how the rich asshole gets the pity sympathy, but not his victim, Dan. Who has never had it rich or easy despite his hard life.
its football not ~~socceerr~~this shit really pisses me off bro I hate that I have to read the word soccerrr so much when its called football...
also cant wait for isagi's next awakening, getting over his anxiety, figuring out new ways to play around beeing the center of attention of everyone without being blocked of a goal and not giving up reaching for n1 while also working with the rest of the team, etc..
"soccer" is only used by Americans, I hate that species and its just dumb. football is much older than American football but their constant need to be the center of the world made them create a new sport and call it the same im sorry but it just pisses me the fuck off sm. its called FIFA not SIFA for a reason
I keep seeing the comments spoiling so I don't wanna look into them but I don't see the new chapter
here is always on the d-day while mangago is d+1

the story was mid, had crazy potential tho just felt rushed. he basically came back for only 1 year and then left as if it was nothing, as if it didnt equivalent to loosing his parents forever, death...he loved like he didnt care...
Its the human realm. And he's still human at that time. He can't stay longer or he might accidentally die. Zeus promise was only valid to Calypso. And when Hyungmin us on the god's realm. Anything that could happen to Hyungmin in the human realm is outside Zeus promise. And they have a law 'god's can't interfere in any human'. Kind of like that.
everyone talking about how ate this is just genocide and how its being written making it seem hypocritical from the momo side...as if this isn't currently happening in the real world right in front of our eyes. I mean look at the USA and how that orange motherfucker is literally treating people who dont look American, meaning white caucasian, even though they are. even though they didn't create any problems, haven't hurt anyone and were just peacefully living, yet he and his porters call them "ilegal aliens". like this is quite literally the best exemple. unfortunately people who don't learn/care for history will repeat the same mistakes. its disgusting seeing what's happening in the USA and even worse seeing European countries fall for that propaganda and watching the far right rise...
I've already said too much, I didnt even want to delve too deep in this issues because they are quite complex but simply putting it, this is quite realistic. we see it as something stupid and how the momo "dont even listen/just kill" yet when it comes to the real world its being ignores and even worse encouraged behaviour. truly sick how things are going.
I get you, seriously, but trust me, not every reader here is unaware. some might speak up about what’s happening in the world on their social media, some notice the deeper themes in stories, and some are just here to discuss the latest chapter. but again, not everyone is ignorant, and nope, the plot isn't stupid at all, it's realistic, like you said, and as a long-time reader, it often reminds me of other things happening in the real world too.
sorry maybe it came out the wrong way, I'm not saying the readers are unaware of the current situation of the world I was just comparing it to the plot of the manga since ppl in the comments were acting ignorant about the story not what's happening in the real world cuz im obviously not expecting anyone to randomly bring awareness under a manga comment lmao
i very much understand where you're coming from. The original law that the momos uphold 'kill dangerous onis' has disgustingly evolved into unreasonable, discriminating , racist hatred towards onis.
And i get that it's very similar to what's happening in america(im from asia). Im actually extremely disgusted that there's americans out there(probably HIS supporters), who genuinely thinks whatever is happening is ok!?!!? I can't comprehend how living in fear, not knowing whether you stepping out of your home for just 5mins will result in you getting unlawfully taken away or worse. how is he not impeached or arrested yet!?
----
BUT
i've seen one side of twitter where some are getting a little annoyed that every tougenanki(and a few other animes) discussions, will always end up with reallife political debate included. im not saying that we should forget that REAL live people are suffering & living in fear, but fans should be able to read a manga content/update just for the pure enjoyment of it.
Like the other person who replied, not trying to argue or be rude, im actually glad that readers are aware of the world too and TGAK plot is actually pretty amazing . to me, TGAK is of course not the most perfect shounen manga out there, but the unnecessary dislike and hate comments out there is urggghhhh....
Let's support TGAK all the way~~
I don't understand how everyone is rooting for him like?? he's been nothing but selfish his entire life to Ian and their relationship is clearly toxic, it doesn't work. ate, especially Ian, is only clinging to tj because of the memories they share, its no longer love but habit. too has been there for him and clearly is the better option for a better future for Ian and himself.

I liked where this was going, the whole redemption arc and everything, yet from the last chapter to this one I feel like we should've had at least 15-20 more chapters. there was still too much to talk about and they really had to rebuild their relationship despite having already confessed but instead it was so rushed and just shows the aftermath...
also the whole ending about ppl "forgiving" and fighting for jaekyung pissed me off cuz while he's obviously much better now its like erasing his mistakes and comparing to the *nothing? that Kim dan has done... like I tried to believe in it but the ending e+was really disappointing. as I said, maybe of we had had those extra 15 chapters I would've taken it better but we didnt so no.
