a true fan waits forever, so really indefinitely! The longest I have actively checked for new updates was probably around 5 years, but I'm sure there are manga I've inadvertently waited longer for. To be honest I think writing is a difficult craft and I would rather wait years for a new chapter on a mind-blowingly good series as opposed to reading ...... reply
For me it’s been since 2015, I’ve always used the same web sites, at least until they don’t exist anymore (I’m looking at you kissanime)
