We just want him to change and become better. Having empathy and UNDERSTANDING people because of their trauma is totally different from ACCEPTING their behaviour.
Just because you know someone was abused as a child and you know why they are acting like that, doesn't mean you would accept being treated horribly by that person.
Doc Dan had a rough life as well, but he still grew uo as the kindest and sweetest soul together with his grandma here in this story. We just want the best for Kim Dan. But with Jaekyung's current behaviour, he doesn't deserve Kim Dan at his best. He has to earn it and beg for it.
It's really sad and heartbreaking when a children gets abused by their own parents. But I still stand with my previous comment here, no matter sad/tragic his previous life, that doesn't still excuse his shitty personality and horrible things he's done with Kim Dan and other people as well.
Sure, it's really shitty to become responsible of your own healing when the trauma was caused by other people. But still, Jaekyung should KNOW how it is to be treated like shit. He could've tried and swore his life that he shouldn't be like his father, but surprise, surprise. His dad was his role model I guess

Don't do to others what you do not want to be done onto you, everyone~ don't be like Jaekyung
Agreed. That's why I don't get some people here saying that calling out Jaekyung's shitty personality a hate comment. It's the truth, and he should change and own up for his previous behaviour.
Doc Dan had a miserable life as well, but he was the kindest soul together with his grandma in this story. That's why Doc Dan deserves the best.
I'll paste a comment I saw here since I agree
I love this couple. Their communication is top notch and I really love that he didn’t quit his job as a porn star and they talked about it. The whole part with the “am I a pillow princess” really solidified it as one of my favorites. Ibuki is so self assured and confident in their romance LOL

BJ Alex handled its redemption arc much better, in my opinion. Jiwon was given ample time to realize and reflect on his mistakes, and I appreciated that Dong Gyun had enough self-respect not to immediately take him back. Their reconciliation felt earned because both characters had meaningful growth.
With Jaekyung, though, it felt like it was all talk and very little action. We’re told he’s changed, but the story doesn’t really spend enough time showing that growth in a convincing way. By the end, the resolution felt rushed and unsatisfying.
Overall, the story was pretty disappointing for me. The art style is honestly the main thing that kept me invested until the end.

LITERALLY… LIKE JINX FELT SO RUSHED COMPARED TO BJ ALEX
