The manhwa is nice, but the novel is so peak. It’s sad to see people here saying the MC is weak and boring when he’s so lovely in the novel- like he’s fiercely protective of those he loves, just like the ML- he lets himself be vulnerable because he doesn’t see vulnerability as something shameful and wrong, and that’s what broke the ML’s defenses in the first place.
He may seem to have goody two shoes tendencies, but instead of it being grating, the novel made it clear that it’s not performative at all. Despite being quite innocent, he IS NOT meek, he’s sharp and calculative but in a gentle and firm way. He’s also a stubborn brat and he revels it- even said that he’s the youngest in the family, so he’s used to being doted on, so the ML better dotes on him too and ML loves it so much, he’s down bad.
This got long, so to summarize- the MC is great in the novel, a lot of his personality is so toned down (probs due to lack of internal thoughts in the manhwa and also certain scenes cut cause its impossible to draw everything that happens in the novel)
The ML is portrayed pretty faithfully tho, so that’s great.
Another reason you should read the novel is that the smut is also peak lol

i read the whole novel on the tappytoon app- they have the official translations there, and it’s good. There’s a few chaps free, and you can get free tokens by doing surveys and stuff, but there’s a LOT of chapters, so I ended up paying for a few and ALL of the side stories. Worth it tho lol
I know it’s suppose to be a happy extended epilogue kind of thing, both care about each other and excited for their kids to be born, but I can’t help but remember the alpha carving his name into the omega’s back, the jagged lines, so cruel and hideous.
And the author BARELY ADDRESSES IT. All the author did was mention how the alpha has his scar on his wrist, what about the omega? If he ever go swimming with his kids, won’t they be like yoo why is other dad’s name carved into daddy’s back like this
I know it’s just a silly little manhwa and nothing matters lol but Im just imagining if I was their kid and I found out what happened, I will not look at my shitty father the same way again, Knowing how much that shitty father also suffered doesn’t change the fact that I can’t love you for how you treated the dad that birthed me lol
After typing this rant I realize that he could possibly get it lasered off or get a nice tattoo on it I guess.

The story is so cute at first, the description of the MC and his little life, his enthusiasm for gardening, cook in etc was so lovely. The ML is fucking RED FLAG CAPITAL RED, what he did to “secure” the MC to him when the dad stole the seal was FUCKING PATHETIC, so I just need to know how the rest of the story goes, please

Jinx, painter of the night, legs that won’t walk- the few that has the similar toxic trope yet gets so much traction cause the art is good, and also- toxic storylines are just captivating, like a horror movie. A smutty horror, if u will-
I don’t think anyone supports this or even want it in real life, most of us just want to see how it plays out. the ML feels completely irredeemable in every way, but there is no one else, and the author is known for ‘happy’ endings with the MC & ML ending up together. So it’s fun to see how it goes, eventho so far it’s been a total fucking shitshow in terms of romance hah.
I have zero idea why the side couple had such loooooooooong chapters in between the main story, and then have the ENTIRE side stories dedicated to them. Where’s the main couple epilogue? Why have ZERO epilogue/side story for the first couple we followed throughout? Crazy.
So much that could’ve been done:
Newlyweds phase, Hilarious pregnancy moments- (doyun is so strong, maybe pregnancy is a walk in the park for him, or maybe it’ll be the first time where he feels more vulnerable physically- either way would have the return of his overprotective crying frog faced alpha, which is fun)
Slice of life moments- have a scene where taehyun’s dream comes true, going off to work and seeing his omega & baby wishing him a good day-
Or taeyun having little silly fights with his baby, as two alphas likely would, trying to get doyun’s attention-
Since doyun doesn’t get jealous, maybe a moment where either one of them gets possessive-
Imagine doyun at the park with his son, random omegas and betas assuming he’s an alpha and trying to hit on him-
These are just at the top of my head, there’s literally SO MANY POSSIBILITES for the first couple. This was a cute story, it wrapped up nicely. The second story seems like the author wanted to write alpha x alpha but instead of a different manhwa, the couple’s fked up story is shoehorned into the first couple’s sweet and hilarious story.
