I found this way too early!!!! I’ve been praying for a yaoi that’s actually super interesting, because so far I’ve just been seeing the same shit! But omg!?!! A futuristic cyber-feeling world setting, political and crime drama, complex and compelling characters, an actual plot + actual side characters that don’t just feel like cannon fodder or stand-ins! And especially WLW characters
And they all have their own unique look love when authors really put in the effort to sprinkle some fairy dust on their non-leading characters
I really like Sweetheart Trigger, and I felt bad for Brad, so seeing that he actually has his own story and our MC being a furry, I was so excited and happy! But for some reason, I feel like something is missing. It’s not very compelling? Everything felt kind of rushed, but as long as they get to have their own happy ending... I guess? Obv a lot of problematic characters, but I don’t think we got to fully explore their complexity. It just feels more like a thrown-in trope.
