I’m sure many of yall noticed three prominent scan groups that all have 2 things in common with each other. Their scans/translations are all done with AI and they lock their translations behind paywalls. Is it just me who is super annoyed with them?? They fight each other by simultaneously posting different ai translations for one singular chapter of a specific story which causes the notification to spike up for literally no reason. Is it just me who misses the scan groups that used to add reaction memes and post notes that yes couldve broke the immersion of the story but were hilarious nonetheless? I’m not super crazy about being anti-ai but I am against stealing someones work and putting it behind a fucking paywall. Pirating, which is this site, is meant to give acess to content for free! It’s not meant to steal the profit of the work but just be about a group of people that wanted acess to these stories that were locked by the authors own paywalls or were inaccessible due to a language barrier.
My reading experience is ruined when I see those 3 specific groups honestly. It’s bad, low lazy quality and not fun to read nor wait for an update because it will always be garbage.
Also for the real scan groups, thank you guys because yalls notes had me coughing uo my cigarette and slapping my knee.

This really just shows how quick people on the internet, especially in this day and age, are so quick to jump on hate-trains and trends/rumors said by their influencers. Like, recount how much instances there were where someone makes a post exposing another cc for doing something problematic, only for it to be false accusations made for clicks and views. You can’t trust no one, not even your idols. Perfect example of parasocialism too, where from a 30 second clip, you think you automatically know everything about the person on the other side of the screen.
