Yes I read it right... But I interpreted the scene differently.. It seems like she was wounded fatally and bleed to death...not her real body but her soul is alive and moved to the door (chapt. 1) there is no further explanation given so I assume this... Because she is only guessing too she does not really know what happened at that precise moment...

Plus how would a soul be able to kill a living person by using a dagger?

Also if there is no body for her to possess because 1. she died and 2. was summoned then 1. why was she able to possess an actually dead person's body and 2. if her body was also summoned (the only way the original poster's comment about summoning and not being able to return home could be related to each other) then why did she take over someone else' body at all?

As for my second point yes I realize the guy she was trying to kill was a vampire but for all intents and purposes he is still alive.

Finally, even if her original body was dead and she was unable to return to it, she could probably just possess another body from her world. And how else is she supposed to get revenge if she doesn't try?

So no I don't understand how anyone can think of her as the 'd***' one.

P.S. In regards to my very first point on this thread, why would someone who knows they're dead say they 'woke up'?

didn't the ML say that she's not dead though. I remember him saying she's not a dead person after he tried to take her soul and when the bird asked him

i do agree that her wanting to return is stupid though. She hates vampires but is willing to do anything to go back to a world of vampires....so that she can kill them. I get that it's her deep hatred but it just also feels off. She also says she was the number 1 killer but she still has her skills so if she trains, she can maintain her skills in this body. On top of that she can take out the corruption (probably in the temple/church based on last chapters) in this world and earn her reputation (though it will be hard bc this is a misogynistic society). She said there's famine and barely food in her world so what is drawing her back to her world aside from wanting to kill vampires?!?!?!

As for your last comment, it's like I said in another of my own comments, she clearly wants revenge against the guy who killed her family and betrayed her, her actual former fiancee....

Plus she has a curse on her body in this world. Which is obviously believed to be a curse that makes her brother grow weaker as she grows stronger and vice versa. If that is the truth then there is no way she'll ever become stronger in this world. And she already knows her body is weak so it's *not* a stretch for her to have figured out by now that she'll never get stronger.

In order to get to the temple/church I'm pretty sure she'd have to get through that barrier that only she can't pass through as well....

my thing wasn't why does she want to go back bc it's obviously because of her hatred and

As far the church stuff goes...that's not actually true tho (the one person stronger the other weaker thing) bc the church/temple is the one spewing at this stuff. She wasn't cursed or anything but poisoned and someone is clearly trying to finish the job since they put a poisoned needle on her pillow and were hiding in her cabinet. The same is happening to her brother if the church is calling it a curse then they're probably in on it (possible the ring leaders). Plus they were smirking as they said it. If she can get rid of the poison then she will be 100% healthy.
