how is shit still rated so high even with the comments all being negative. guys if we stick together we can get this rating down in no time, i believe in us <3
Gurl it’s just a manhwa, I dont set Standard for it.
If it’s good, then it’s good. If it’s Bad, it’s bad, however, I still haven’t found anything bad about it. nevertheless, I dont feel you guys should hate on the authors work just, cuz you dont like it.Just move to another manhwa pronto and leave this one alone. No one begs you to hate it or like it . ヽ(`Д´)ノ (︶︿︶)=凸
who said I'm actively reading it? i dropped it ages ago bc it was ass off rip. but it showed up on the front page, this cover i didn't recognise but then i recognised it and checked more recent chapters and the comments. not only has the plot gone from worse to worser but even the art style got soich worse from how it was it's actually disappointing
1. im not hating on the author, i think they suck at their job but i dont go around telling them this to their face. and 2. you're part of the problem "it's just a manhwa" do you think that the author would take that as a compliment?
this is an art form and art should make you feel something, for me in this instance it's distain. but you say it's good and in the same breath "it's just a manhwa" it's like you don't have any expectation of actually good writing.
it looks like they met at that funeral from ch1 and he's the one that gave him Young the lighter then they slept together, seems like Young even remembers who he is, i thought neither of them were going to ... does anyone remember who died two years ago, did jiho mention that ?
i mean thats what it looks like to me. the guy in the first chapter looks like jiho even when you hide his face with the cigarette smoke. then in the flashback this chapter the dude young slept with had jiho's neck tattoo + he mentioned someone dying + the armband from the funeral. if 2+2=4. i feel like since its Young's flashback and we see the tattoo that means he remembers jiho from that night
i gave it a 5/5 maybe its like a 4.2/5? its really overall quite amazing. i just cant tell if Joohwan is a complex character or if the author just changes his reaction to things based on what they want, his behaviour really stumps me sometimes. i mean all authors write what they want at the end of the day. but i feel like you write character too have a certain personality and behave a certain way, no? and after 55 chapters I'm still not sure whats going on i his head even with multiple chapters with his POV. i still think the story is great and i will be reading it as the 3rd season comes out. and we still dont have his full backstory so maybe it'll make more sense after that. i just cant tell if his personality and behaviour are the result of good or bad writing. on one hand he could be such a complex character that I might not understand him even when i have the full picture and on the other hand all his behaviour could be just the result of the authors whims. i don't know if it's just me that's thinking this.
i honestly don't even have the words to describe how unique and beautiful this manhwa is. its a bummer it doesn't have an official localisation, i feel like it might be because it's so unlike every other story out there that publishers don't wanna take a risk on it. I've seen people say it's boring but I've honestly not been as captivated by a story as much as this in so long.
the complexity of the plot and the characters and the authors tendency to show not tell is really something I've not seen in a while. it kinda has the feel of an indie movie. its so ..... I've no more words. i like that it doesn't have every trope in the the book, the way the characters is so unusual they're not just a copy paste seme and uke which how it feels with a lot of other BLs
p.s. who the hell decides on the genres on mangago bc this is by FAR not smut
i can forgive it being an unrealistic, cheesy cornfest. but i cant forgive being annoying, frustrating, and making me wanna pull my hair out. the author cant handle darker themes for shit. i picked it up because i fully expected this to be a light-hearted uncomplicated story, but it just kinda seems like they had one main conflict in mind and kept having the characters run around in circles around it, and then everything else they added was just disposed of as quickly as it was introduced . i had to bump it down from a 2/5 where the extra point was literally just for the pretty artstyle and characters. but there's just too many aspects of this that made me HATE IT, a 2/5 is like slightly below mid. this is awful. im trying to not let the last couple of chapters persuade my opinion it seems like the story is winding down and the characters are a bit more likable of course, but i cant forget what it put me through, if i had picked this up in the beginning and had to get these chapters as weekly updates id be pissed ALLLLL the way off.
i haven't finished the bonus chapters but i wanted to give my 2 cents. despite the obvious problems with their ages, i wanted to give this a shot because i love longer stories and the art was beautiful. the story is very compelling but there's so many ways to work around their ages without making woojung into a pedophile creep groomer , for example: 1. jiho could've been lying about his age, and told the truth that he was turned 20 instead of 18 on new years. 2. same premise kinda with jiho being 20 but he didn't lie about it but the reason woojung is holding bimself back until he finds out jiho is 20, is because 19 is a still a teenager and too young in his eyes. like both these scenarios with the age gap are still questionable but it doesn't go into the pedophile allegations territory. honestly woojung would not be able to fight the allegations as it stands in canon because he definitely brought jiho in because he thought he was pretty, and him telling jiho that over and over again is a form of grooming. there's a third option of how this could've been handled if he just didn't say those things and didn't have those reactions to jiho being half naked and to jiho smiling. im rambling this has little substance but this was on my mind while i was reading. i think my two scenarios would've worked way better, idk why you'd want to make out your character into a pedophile tbh
p.s.
also wanted to add that. the author may have wanted to make a conflicting and hard to root for pairing, and they thought that by making them 17 and 30+ that'll be it. but that's just lazy writing. im not saying that all of the story is lazy writing but that aspect definitely is. because the beauty of writing is making your audience question things and their own preconceived notions. I cant say that even after enjoying this story that there will ever be a point in my life in which i wont find a romance between a minor and someone twice their age morally deplorable. However, if they had flipped it, if they made it about two adults where everyone would obviously be like "this is fine and legal and nothing is wrong with this" if they managed to somehow turn that into the same reaction you'd have upon reading a romance between a 17 and 30 year old , that would be a lot more intriguing and complex writing
i had unsubscribed from it ages ago and gave it one star bc it felt like i was clocking in at the pissing me off factory every time i read it. i hoped that eventually it the two MAIN CHARACTERS would get together and knowing that i could stomach reading it finally. but NO ian and tj get their happily ever after and jo is leff behind. and i really dont care to read through all the mental gymnastics that lead to this ending. i always liked jo never liked tj and I can't imagine a world where that could be different

this was so good i could cry. im genuinely sick to my stomach from worrying about these characters like i feel a pit in my stomach right after reading that last chapter and god knows when the rest is coming cuz as usual the Author is on their deathbed
