You are welcome. I've been in your place many times and there is always a hidden gem somewhere you just have to stumble upon!
Now I want to re-read it too...

because translating is basically illegal, or so they say. if the author of the manga/manhwa find about it, they can sue you, they can track you, it's easier nowadays and this is an illegal site (a famous one lol) which is really open to everyone. same reason why some scanlations group prefer people to just read it on their sites instead of re-uploading it somewhere

But couldn't they also track them from their own site?

the thing is most of the scanlations arent that famous for the author to find unlike these illegal manga sites which caters more people

Scanlation is illegal. We basically steal these artist's/author's way of income by translating the mangas for everyone who can't afford them. Pretty much.
