I get that the uke forgave him but he wasn't the only victim, that sh*t is traumatizing to witness too. And for them to just not even talk to the cat guy about what he saw and how he felt about it is a whole new kind of neglect for this genre. That small side convo with the other doctor isn't enough. The story itself is tragically beautiful but at the same time I just can't get past the way they glossed over the witness' suffering. Idk maybe it's just me ╮( ̄へ ̄)╭

The whole master/slave thing in the description was just bait, they say that's what they are but it's not. The seme calls himself a slave and says he likes to be treated like one but he doesn't obey any commands and is more of a sadist when it comes to s*x. It's more that he just likes to be verbally degraded and that's it. The uke is just a tsundere and doesn't really ever take control nor does he seem to really care that he doesn't have it, overall he's just happy that he can get what he wants out of the s*x without saying what he actually wants out loud. It's a cute-ish story with a lot of sexy scenes I'm just sad I didn't get the master/slave relationship I had been looking forward to.

The name doesn't reveal much, the summary is missing, and the cover portrays a cutesy story so you're easily mislead into believing that this will be a lighthearted quick read... it's not. It wasn't really meant to be, I think; it's more of a dark romance between two brothers who grew up in a messed up environment and formed a strong but (to put it lightly) unhealthy bond. If you're not into that then fine but don't hate on the story. It was well written, well drawn and there's a lot more depth to their twisted love than just a brother loving a brother.
(Also, for those who can't make it past the first chapter, their feelings are mutual memories or not)

For those confused by the title:
It's a bit of a spoiler but a "Baker Baker Paradox" is in reference to our ability to remember words better when there's other memories attached to that word.

For example, the profession of "baker" is associated in your mind with other things like "cake" or "bread" thus making it easier for you to remember if someone was introduced as a "baker". Where as if someone was introduced as "Mr.Baker", or something along those lines, you're mind might have a harder time remembering the name later due to a lack of immediate word association.

Now for the spoiler...
At one point in the book Omi has ended his sexual relationship with Nii due to his growing guilt and frustration. Nii is upset because he was confused by the rejection and in a moment when his stress about Omi was at its peak he runs into an old friend, a person who knew him before his memory loss. By hearing this friend's name his mind follows a train of thought leading back to the day of the accident and thus regaining his previously lost (repressed) memories by word association (the word in this case being the friend's name).

Sorry for the rant but it's a good book, a twisted and sad love, but a good book, I won't be ashamed for saying so. I also don't think people should be so sensitive about it being incest; I mean there's tons of incest books out there that are just senseless shallow smut plots, and there's not many who complain about those. At least this story has plot; a beautiful and sad, tragic and twisted, well written plot.

Their love is so oddly beautiful in all its chaotic, wonderful glory. I love their love so much! I wish both Mao and Eishi all the happiness they deserve!

Who need enemies when you've got a friend like Takuma? Bro cock blocked Itsuki and Arata for 2 years cuz he was carrying a torch for Itsuki NOT because he was protecting him, and no one can convince me otherwise. He knew that Arata went back to their meeting place to see Itsuki, and he knew damn well that if he had said as much to him that Itsuki would continue meeting Arata. They would've eventually admitted their feelings and became a couple and left him in the dust, bro was just holding out hope that Itsuki's feelings for Arata would fade and when it became apparent that they weren't going to he finally admitted to them meeting. It's absolute bull that they're trying to make it like he was just doing what was best for them. And even if he was somehow trying to do what was best for him it's still bullsh*t, Itsuki is an adult and can make his own life choices, it wasn't Takuma's place to make that decision for him. Yuujirou was 100% in the right, idk why people feel like Rui would've had to sacrifice his whole career and future to stay; he could've studied design in Japan. Long distance relationships are not made to last, irl ones hardly ever do, the ones that survive only make it because of frequent visits. Humans are a social creature, we form tighter bonds with those in our immediate circles than we do with those we never see, it's just a fact. The digital age hasn't made long distance relationships any easier, they just give us the illusion that it has.

I get that Rui wanted to better himself but his desire to go to France was rooted in his own personal insecurities; he could've just as easily built up his confidence and independence in Japan next to Yuujirou. I feel like after witnessing Yuujirou struggling emotionally and physically with the possibility of separation and then just saying "I understand but I'm still not gonna change my mind" was a bit irritating. I understand why he did it, I understand what his motivation is, but this is stupid.

Why couldn't he just stay?? If his only hang up is an Inferiority complex then just get over it, it's not worth the emotional anguish of your spouse, it really isn't. If we're weighing the different options here based on reason alone, his was a dumb one. I feel like the author was definitely listening to that one song "Grow As We Go" or whatever it's called when they were writing this. Or rather that they should've taken the lyrics to heart and kept our boys together, cause if we're going for realism here then realistically they would've grown apart and eventually either broke up or struggled to recover their relationship from the damage the distance caused. I know fairy tale endings don't happen often irl and things don't always work out like we'd hoped, but I don't think I'll ever not be annoyed at how the author resolved such a heavy emotion in Yuujirou with a simple "I understand but I'm going anyway" and all of a sudden he's chill with it.
