While I don't have a problem with the story and TJ (there's obviously something wrong with him and his psyche) but it's just dragging out. Author needs to use TJ's bad mental health to create suspenseful situations so the chapters feel like im actually reading something and stuff is happening. But its sooooo badly paced.
I find this comic to be a very shallow story of what's really going on in the novel. The novel describes Winston's tiranny and subtle emotions a lot better than the comic. In comic i just find him abusive and quite honestly looking pathetic. Grace is also more complex in novel, while here she's seems just a victim of her own body. Idk.
Actually, quite an unexpected ending. All other dark romances have the MC be reedemable at the end, or he grovels etc. this one not in the slightest. Plus we got a plotwist at the end and in all honesty i am shook. The ending is more dark than its romance, and that's fine. But i wished it was more thriller-y. Usually I've read it all, seen it all. Morally grey, red flag, psycho blah blah. They all mostly turn soppy for FL. This dude is straight up scary. Like no redeem ship on the horizon. His hot-and-cold bipolar ass is so unpredictable. Someone give this man a joint to calm down. I lost interest for this story quite some time ago. But if anyone is interested in this kind of dynamic, there's an excellent manhua called Who is the Prey
