The Video Game Streamer and the Office Worker
THAT WAS SO CUTEEE
Smyrna & Capri
Let's start with the negatives. The plot has SO much potential but it got dragged down by the short length of the manhwa, the unnecessary sex scenes, and frankly, the author's ability to write. I was intrigued by the politics, wars, and history in this manga, which were sadly ALL told via exposition. And the huge conflict between MCs (which included genocide, btw) were also solved in a very unsatisfying and unbelievable way. Speaking of which, Theo's personality frankly bored me to death. I couldn't grasp what he was supposed to be like, as he was emotionless most of the time, and we didn't see him interacting with other characters beside Seth in ways that mattered.
Now to the positives. The bar is very low, but i was very surprised to read a BL manhwa with THIS healthy of a relationship, not to mention that it's ABO themed. The way Seth always, Always asked for Theo's consent before doing anything is almost miraculous. Like, i was bracing myself to read some rapey bullshit but there were none. Also, the worldbuilding is interesting. Though i liked that the manhwa wasn't stretched thin, I do wish for the author to be able to expand and explore the back story more.
Otameshi to wa Ie, Suki Sugiru
Sonokoi Jihanki de Kaemasuka?
Yoooo i didn't even realize that it was updated??? Can't believe i finally finished reading one of my most anticipated and favorite BLs, it was so shorttt i need 10 more chapters of them awkwardly flirting with each other. Anyway like i've said so many times before, this author really GETS romance. I enjoyed reading this s lot.
Afterglow
Story's too short for a plot like this, and the way MCs met and started the relationship were kinda......not it. Art's super gorgeous though, and i like Tenju's character (what little glimpses we got). His background was interesting and the way he interacted with the doctor was also enjoyable to read. Shame that it was underexplored!
