This is awkward lmao. I'm gay, and I will first agree that it isn't really your business. When people stare, it makes me REALLY uncomfortable. Some guys don't care, but I'm not that confident. I can tell when someone is looking at me like that, and I don't love it. I don't want to constantly be sexualized. Sometimes I just want to buy eggs or see a movie and not think about that sort of thing.
For the sake of education, I will say that most guys don't have a set in stone role. Seme and uke only exist in fiction, as far as those terms go. Even in Japan, actual gay men do not use those terms. That said, yes, there are strict tops or bottoms who do not switch roles, but they're not the majority. Most are flexible, but even those who are, often have a preference. It's highly personal, and everyone is different. There's no way you would know just by looking. I might be able to tell though lmao

I went from living in a very accepting area, to a much less accepting area. I get stared at much more often here when I am out with someone I'm dating, but honestly, I was stared at a lot before as well. No matter the intentions, people are always curious. Especially with women, people often have good intentions, but still treat us like puppies or sex objects. I come from a place of privilege in my demand to be treated like anyone else, but I think the wish for that is universal.
