The writing seems novice level to me. They don't seem comfortable with more characters or settings so the entire story is limited almost entirely to 2 characters and a single apartment. They author also was doing an incredibly slow burn to sex, didn't really seem to know hot to get there, and so just jumped to it in a somewhat personality breaking way.
The story telling is just a bit too narrow
