SMELL
Unexpected from this author but quite welcome; it's cute and light but still keeps to the heady feelings of discovery, interesting and well paced
Goat And Wolf's Table
Cute and silly. For an herbivore, that sheep sure is a man-eater! Or wolf-eater as the case may be haha
Happy Sugar Life
Reading off the heels of the anime, and honestly they did a great job adapting it; there are some things I like better in each! The intro is smoother in the anime, but the violence and action is better here, as well as some of the explanations and interpretations; Shio and Asahi's mother's backstory especially. Asahi takes a much more conflicted and active role in the manga, which I like! He was a bit passive in the anime, a bit wet-rat kicked-puppy pathetic. I also like Mitsuboshi better here, though it did still feel a little bit like his trauma was used as comedic relief :/ Not as bad as the anime tho. But really it comes down to our leads: Yuck (affectionate). Sato's love is definitely on the paraphilia side of things, but also quite innocent, I don't know how to feel about it and that feels like the point. Poor Shio through and through, someone get that girl some therapy. She's definitely young enough to develop some particularly gnarly traumatic responses from what happened, who's to say. It's an interesting story all the way around
Challengers
I've read this like four times I just need to actually rate it lol
Aight, fifth time, final rating! S'fuckin' great, hella fluffy, and shows the backstory of KoiBo, what more could I really ask for. I mean yeah, there's a lot of Misunderstandings About Queerness, but it was 90s Japan lol
There's No Way This Is Fate
Obligatory I don't like Omegaverse complaints: S'fucked up what they did to Yuu, knowingingly putting him into a dangerous situation and coercively giving him drugs to try to cover their actions, and then playing it off like they're his fated pair Just~ Coincidentally~ - quit. Bad. Stop that.
The rest is mostly silly fun; they've got a lot of genuine chemistry (mostly Ginga, I love a yandere as much as the next guy it just wasn't very clear that Yuu actually liked Kouetsu that much, outside of reminiscing lol), and it poses an interesting question!: If two alphas become entangled, what effect might that have on an omega one or both of them would pursue? I haven't heard that one posed before, and I think it could make for a full separate interesting premise honestly, so good job
Bachi Bachi (KIJIMA Hyougo)
It's a whole helluva lot of silliness. Some of the dynamics feels off, and you shouldn't fake being sick just to get attention! But it's silly so
I Wanna Die Before I'm 30
It's cute :) A little predictable, a little silly, a little rushed, but cute overall
Suki ni Shitaiyo
The translation is a little rough, and Fuji is uhhhhhhhh, Questionable. Yeah. But the second chapter gives a better insight into how weird their dynamic is, in an enjoyably dark way
