Daisy, Mata Ashita
Burlesque Night
So the pacing is whack lol, everything is always happening all the time everywhere, even in the backstory. Good on this one for not showing the traumatic backstory as a titillating scene for the audience tho, talk about a breath of fresh air there. It was pretty breakneck the entire way, but I do appreciate that they were both into each other and fairly well on the same page the whole time
Ai to Makoto (Moriyo)
I always feel like I have to put a little asterisk on my enjoyment of Omegaverse like "Well at least this one was interesting" lol
It was interesting! Lol. It really felt like a story that could've existed outside the omegaverse for the most part, although I suppose it did make up a strong central plot element. Basically, it followed through and the rest of the story was strong as well, I appreciate a well-made story, and the twists were well-told. I really did hate Ai, he did a very good job of making himself unlikable! And while his backstory didn't excuse his actions, it did contextualize them, and I think that's all a solid backstory needs to do. Weird premise, I'm always harsh to omegaverse, but well told
Best Couple Manhwa
Cute. Although honestly I'd like to read more of this kind of world, it seems like it has potential more than just being a dynamic swap for gender roles - giving more context to the world would make this story stronger than just "What if the conventionally attractive couple were actually considered unattractive because of the world?" Like...just say heteronormativity and move on lol
Where Do Babies Come From?
That's one way to explain it lol
What’s with people wanting to touch other people’s butts
It's dumb but that's what makes it funny
I'm the Main Character of a Harem, but I'm Gay so Every Day is Hell for Me
I really hope this becomes more than a proof of concept someday, it really seems like it'd be a fun play on the really, really tired tropes
Totsukuni no Shoujo
Ah,, wow
What a stunning story, beautifully illustrated, and very slowly told. I honestly think it's the perfect pacing for it, it's a very somber horror story really, but wrapped up in day-to-day life of a very cute young girl. Really masterful
It's also rather nostalgic, it feels kind of similar - in art style - to some of the western-style comics I used to read when I was young. I think it suits the tone perfectly
Update: So I found some raws past ch.35 and now I'm crying
Ch.35 et al update: Teacher is a stupid, selfish man and I'm crying for him so much, to his final moments he was trying to find a way to show Shiva how much he loves her
To the end: Hhhhhhhhhhhhhh. A stunning story, through and through. Unexpected, but well set up, and beautiful to the very last. Wonderful
Amegashi
Geez this is sad :'( Not to mention we already know the ending, in that they grow closer in the remaining 9 months. It is quite beautiful, although the pacing is a bit too quick imo
