“Well, we can’t marry each other”
The fact you even thought of that is putting up red flags, dude. I have no issues with a brocon/siscon relationship, but if their relationship gets any more… intimate, I’m gonna have to dip.
..............they haven't been introduced yet

...........................
they get introduced when MC & bro go back home fore summer break? and the royal family come to visit (with Prince who has a crush on MC)
...MC wants nothing to do the royal family & MC's bro supports here.
some stuff about visiting the local temples and playing tour guide when MC is kidnapped
...........ML = a dragon who has when living in MC & bro's territory who was pissed about the deforestation (thats why he OG "kidnapped" MC- MC later claims she willingly went w/ him to calm bro down)
You know what? I’m happy the brothers couldn’t condemn their fake sister. I’m happy that the years of growing up together didn’t mean nothing. I’m happy that their love wasn’t conditional on Amaryllis being the child of light, because it means their love for Ashtarte isn’t conditional on her being the child of light either.
Yes they messed up. Yes they don’t deserve Ashtarte’s forgiveness. Yes it’s not a satisfying end. But they had real love for a monster in human skin, and I think that counts for something.
I think the same. They are already trash for how they treated Ashtart.
If they turned their back on a "child" brought to "life" from their father and whom they loved all their lives, they would be the most disgusting things ever! It would mean that they truly believed and followed the known prophecy even though they said their stance was against it.
My hypothesis for why the FL’s alleged trauma responses (i.e. avoidance, low self-esteem, paranoia) are so annoying is that it’s not clear what triggers her. If the sister was present, we would get it because we know she’s evil. If the ducal family was still neglectful, we would get it because we know that’s bad.
But neither of those things are true at this current time, so the FL‘s flaws feel less because she was forced to be this way by external forces, and more because that’s her natural personality. That makes her less sympathetic and gives her less room to grow out of her flaws.
The story needs to quickly either bring in the sister or show what happened in the previous life that makes the ducal family so bad. As it is right now, the FL is paranoid about nothing.
If Jeremy had chosen to keep it a total secret or only told Elijah, I would have lost it. As the new duke the emperor does not trust, it’s suicide to not try to prove your loyalty. I also would not have been able to handle the unnecessary drama of more secrets when Elijah already has enough on her plate to deal with. So thank God Jeremy did the actual smart thing here.

l want a full version of that tiktok SO BAD.
