Before y'all crucify me, first loves are always cute in the POV of the person in love of course. This chapter Youngho is cute even if it didn't end well. It's all in the past anyway. My only thing is... could Hoyeon ever be that sweet again or loving to Taebum? They're supposedly dating now but it seems more like FBW than an actual relationship. The author says they're mutually in love as of ch 21 but it doesn't show... esp if you compare it to ch 27. It takes one chapter to show a cute love compared to what seems like forced love and it's been 5 chapters since they've dated... idk man. It feels rough reading this sometimes. I really like Taebum... that's whg I don't really like how Hoyeon is treating him right now.
As someone who suffers from depression and suicidal thoughts from time to time, this behavior bothers me. I know people have different ways of expressing sadness and grief but it really feels like it's more attention seeking than actually being suicidal. Or maybe he's just trying to feel something. But why do it in his room... I know he's depraved and desperate but... ugh I don't like this portrayal... I know some people might be able to relate to the instability he's going through. Please don't take my post to mean I'm being judgmental, I'm just a bit bothered as it hits close to home
I'm sure there's more to this and I should be patient and let the story unfold... but I feel so uncomfortable and disappointed with how MY's suicide attempt and threat being taken so lightly. At least NJ is aware how incredibly manipulative MY is being but NJ owes him absolutely NOTHING. In fact, he should avoid MY even more BECAUSE of those threats.
I don't want them to "fall in love" because of the attempt because it's not going to be rooted in genuine feelings but with pity. It's really upsetting so far...
I'm glad the story is over but deeply sad we don't get a lengthy side story for Seungyu. I think KG gave up along the way for their story bc some plot points weren't even part of the overall story and gave us somewhat a rushed ending. It's so sad bc there's much more to their story and I guess KG is more interested with the twins than with Seungyu...
While I'm glad Garam finally learned to let go of his pride, I don't like how easily and quickly they brushed off his whole tantrum. He even developed a stomach issue, and that is serious. I get that it's supposed to be a fun, silly story, but it doesn't sit right how they brushed off his stress induced issues.
And I get in relationships, one will be more affectionate than the other but was there literally NOTHING else Garam could do to show how much Jaehyuk really matters to him? If he didn't find out about Jaehyuk "leaving", would they just let it pass like that?
I don't get it. It such a cop out way to get the plot moving. To me it just felt like Garam didnt want his only choice of a man to leave because he got used to him. And not because he thought long and hard about their relationship.
I feel like it's been a trend lately with the whole confining thing. There's always been a trope of attic-wifing someone but it's like one after another lately for Korean manhwas specifically. Is something going on in that country? Why is this becoming a trend? I'm getting concerned
I'm glad the story is shorter than Pearl Boy, and I'm glad KinGin didn't put a lot of rape scenes in here like she did in Pearl Boy. You don't need 100 chapters to tell a story.
Though as much as I liked the characters and the story, so much more could have been done to flesh it out even more. My main gripe is the speech. I like to think I have good reading comprehension skills and can read between the lines, but the whole narrative of the story pretty much did a lot of that. It's up to the audience to fill in the gap. Now the problem lies in the fact that she didn't give us enough context to piece things together. And the way Yuta and Seunghun think is cryptic. So you have to keep guessing what they're trying to say almost every single time.
Not to mention we didn't find out what that promise was between Yuta and Tetsu, or how Yuta became head of the household, what his previous marriage was like? How Seunghyun just conveniently forgot Yuta (even tho he says he's in denial about it all, it still didn't make much sense).
A lot of the plot leaves something to be desired. I also wish we could've explored more of Yuta healing from the trauma because it's not so simple and easy, even when you're together with your anchor.
With all that said, I'm glad this is over and Yuta isn't suffering anymore. I really liked him. Half of me was expecting he would be dead or dying towards the end but KinGin couldn't quite commit ahaha, and I'm ok with that.

Ok ok I've read many stories where the 2nd couple stood out more but I think this is one where they actually got a MUCH better ending within the same story rather than their own spinoff series lmaooo

I really liked the 2nd couple and glad the author did what she did but I think she should've created a new series just for them rather than putting it all in one bc now it seems like the 1st couple didn't even exist. It's so funny.
My heart hurts for him so much. He's been through so much and started turning over a new leaf bc someone believed in the goodness in him... Only for it all be a lie. I'm sure it's not but to him it is, and I'm hurting for him. I'm glad he took the initiative to leave. I hope he holds strong and won't give into Jooeon easily. I'm excited for the next season
After one rushed shitty after another, I am so happy this one has a great ending that resolved a lot of issues and let us see how their relationship developed into a more affectionate one in the main story. I hate that we have to wait until side stories to see the relationship progress so I LOVE how the author handled the pacing, the spice, the conflict, climax and ending.

I read the raws a while back and no, Hana does absolutely fucking nothing to his ex. Not even call the cops. Why TF? What are the consequences? Surely something right? Fucking nothing.
And then the ex comes at him with a knife. Pins him to the ground, and Woohyeon hears the noise, comes out and rescues Hana. But in doing so, he grabbed the knife and pins down the ex and was about to stab him but Hana got in the way and got sliced in the chest instead and almost dies.
And you know what happens? Fuck nothing bc Hana's a coward and a bitch who can't do anything to save his life. Not even go to the cops and get his ex arrested. You were in the hospital, got attempted murderer with a knife to your throat and you do nothing?
It skips to the day of graduation. Woohyeon doesn't see him during his time in the hospital for recovery. And guess who's sitting next to Hana? His ex, talking like it's just a regular day.
This story man. It's so ass.
Idk how to feel. I'm happy Yuta is finally experiencing some happiness and love but at the same time, Seunghyun still not offering an answer to why it took him so long to realize his feelings or not even SAYING how he really feels about Yuta (like saying I love you or whatever) is still breaking my heart. Why can you say ANY excuse?
Yuta really is too forgiving because I could never. In fact, I would die not meeting Seunghyun again lol. He's so much stronger than me to be putting up with everything and sacrificing his everything for a man who didn't give a shit about him for 10 fucking years.
