Sohan never experienced a healthy relationship. All his life he only ever be with abusive/toxic close person or strangers. His father is a selfish asshole, his mom is an egoist (despite her being traumatized, there's no way a mom will abandoned her child like that), Sihwa is an emotionally underdeveloped alien whom creates a demanding relationship, and Gabin whom only a stranger until alien stuff make them a little close.
There's no one ever show Sohan how a normal and healthy relationship are supposed to be. In his pov, all his closed person have demand for him to fulfill. So what the different of him chosing one of them? They're all for him is the same. As he afraid to be back in hellhole of loneliness, he chose the figure who offer him company and seems care
I don't know if this it is worth the wait. Seme just an egocentric, manipulative, and passive aggressive asshole. While Uke is not a complete doormat, his personality is too meek for Seme. He'll be forever dance in Seme's rhythm even when he's experiencing too much pain.
I've read the novel. Until the end ML just full of manipulations and gaslights.
At some point, ML feel bad for how he's treating MC and aware of his pain. Strangely enough, instead of try to work for the better relationship, he gaslighted MC to make him looks like the monster who traumatized MC in the past. For some moments MC did stand up for himself, but sadly his insecurities and loneliness never fail to make him fall for ML again and again. If MC expressed his pain or disappointment, its not even take one/two chapter for ML gaslighting him. He manipulated MC by pretending that MC take control of their relationship. He told MC that he'll resign from the office and leave everything if that can make MC feel better. Then he was like, 'is that what you want? Ruining my career and all?'
This asshole just take drastic measure when it is truly unnecessary. The insecurity MC will be feel bad and feel he's the problem.
I'm so done with this part of the novel;
MC simply expressing his insecurity of why ML like him, which ML said, "Do you realize how disrespectful that sounds to me?"
And, "I don't know what kind of answer you expect from me".
BROO YOU JUST NEED TO SIMPLY SAY, " I come to like you by the time we spent together". That simple. Why is he triggered much??? He just gaslight MC for EVERYTHING.
The guy just full of himself. Hardcore narcissistic. When MC unable to finish his words because overwhelmed by gaslights, ML has the audacity to say, "In moments like this, you should just keep your mouth shut until you fully digested your words"
I'm starting to questioning the author's life situation. Are they this gaslighting AH or a victim of it.
So anyone who argue ML is a THERAPIST for MC's trauma is INSANE. He's more a RAPIST than a therapist. The whole problem is not about BDSM. Some statement about 'Don't read it if you can't handle BDSM' is ridiculous. BDSM is not the problem, it is about the whole plot and the shitty character of ML. MC will be forever trapped in that toxic relationship where ML take control. MC may have happiness only if ML allow it. As the author want a happy ending, then MC get that happiness as ML decided it, and MC must be grateful of.
I wonder why Sarah didn't save him from his illness. With her knowledge and technology, she is able to bring him to health. Maybe at that time Sarah didn't find his absent will bring her yearning. Only after he's not present she started wanting him and try to make replica of him.
Also, Sohan truly is a pitiful character. He did his best just to live with no complaint and grudge for everything bad happened in his life. He payed the debt he should never be responsible for, let the happy life of a mother who abandoned him, and gave company to a stranger whose existence is just selfishness (Sihwa never try to be considered for him, yeah I know he's an alien that is not smart in EQ aspect). He's a nice introverted guy. He has litte social ciricle. Sadly the closest people in his life just acted by their own interest, never properly care for him. Even he knows his dad is a dead-beat, he can't let him go because deep down he didn't want to be alone in this world. His heart is too kind for letting his mom to live the life she wanted. I'm proud of Sohan when he express how Sihwa is not a joy in his life, because it is the truth. So far Sohan only following Sihwa's rhythm that is too demanding. Please don't make Sohan apologize to Sihwa because he's telling the truth.
I truly feel the pain for him. He's willing to be used just for a slight feeling of company. He is not mentally broken because he has strong will to survive. Sadly for this hard working guy, he has only selfish people that is closest to him.
I don't think her technology could bring him back from the dead, or cure him. Their technology couldn't even make Si hwa maintain the phenotype of his dad, so there's no way their technology could fix the disease.
I can't fucking stand that dead beat of a father ordering Sohan around. When will that good for nothing piece of meat vanished??
