You’re sooo gonna change your mind( probably) in the future - Rue is the ml like even Raphael can’t compare to him- he’s been with her since the start /. and Daisy is POSSESSIVE she’s so proactive in her feelings and respectful like she doesn’t do unnecessary stuff that could lead to any misunderstandings that’s how much she loves him .

I’d be glad if the story manages to change my mind! Honestly, I like him as a character. My issue is the power dynamic, which isn’t specific to this manhwa but is common in most of them: the male lead holds more power and basically steers the story however he wants, even when he cares about Daisy and helps her. Even tho, the Fl is pretty powerful herself so in general I find the story fresh and enjoyable :)

I definitely get what you mean when the power isn’t balanced — yeah Rue is 100000% stronger than all characters but he lets Daisy take the lead in all her plans and he’s just there for support- it’s funny that he calls her My Prince cause he wants to be the princess - you see here’s a tiny spoiler regarding collecting the relics of Dian cecht is that Rue can’t get involved because before Dian Cecht ascended he asked Rue for a favor and they made an oath / 1- Not to Kill Mephisto 2- Don’t take his relics from his Disciples — so Daisy is the one who needs to do the gathering. And Rue is just there to protect her like when she went to steal the Diary. And regarding your opinion about one party being stronger than the other I think you and I will agree regarding this part - BiG Spoiler ( maybe) so you should stop reading if you don’t want to know

The thing is that Rue is a Demi god who will eventually Ascend and leave the mortal world - he’s half human - and he maintains a BALANCE- but since meeting Daisy 14 years ago and being with her during the war - he returns to Calepa whenever his balance shifts- like towards humanity- when he confesses he’ll tell her ( YOU SHATTERED MY EQUILIBRIUM) - so when they both have feelings for each other I always think that it’s difficult- like he either ascends ( his goal) and she gets left behind or he choses to not maintain the balance to be with her - so Daisy kept thinking about his balance but of course he choses to not maintain it / it was during a banquet when Daisy is supposed to have her first dance with Raphael but Daisy didn’t want to do that so she rented a theater and asked Rue for a dance he then confessed that he didn’t go back to Calepa and he doesn’t regret it because when he’s not balanced he could SEE HER MORE CLEARLY but he’s then he’s forced to prepare for ascension and enter a deep slumber because Daisy was stabbed in the heart by Natasha she was dying so Rue used extreme magic to mend her soul before it shattered and because of that he needs to leave the mortal world of course before entering slumber he transformed Daisy into her Male appearance so the flies ( Raphael Rowayne & Jurian ) don’t get any funny ideas / he orders the 3 Calepas to protect Daisy and help her cross the 4th wall so she can become a demi god

My bad — he turned her into her male version because that was the version that she was strongest and healthiest - so she needed to have a strong body and mind to keep crossing the 3rd and 4th wall

But for the first part, yeah it does make sense and I feel more at peace with the story now, honestly ! Thx for the enlightenment

I’m sorry but to be honest if you have the time you should just read the novel cause it’s definitely AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH worth every emotion

It’s weird that my previous comment got cut off- the reason I told you to read the novel instead is because of course it’s more fun & more detailed - the manhwa is literally still in the beginning so it will take years to finish also the story has book 1 and book 2 ( after events of book 1 ) so I really mean yeeeeeears - the manhwa is missing details like 1- Rue isn’t actually wearing his earrings which makes Daisy to imagine 2- Rue doesn’t see faces clearly because he’s like super powerful so Daisy’s face isn’t supposed to be clear to him - so yeah Starlight novels has this story translated- the translation is good so the read is enjoyable- I hope you give it a try someday…

Caesar’s mother felt suffocated by societal expectations so she packed up her husband and left to live on their little island. They didn’t bring their child because they were so in love there was no room for anyone else. (TBH It’s not really explained clearly why they left him but I think it was so he could receive heir training with grandma?)

I read it’s a go back in time story, but we will have all the details of the first life. In the novel it takes around 200 chapters if I’m not wrong.

I know very well that everyone has different preferences, but I'd still like to urge you to give it a try! I finished this in 3 hours max, scrolling endlessly then suddenly I was on chapter 30! I wouldn't like to assume, but your conclusions on their characters seem so shallow and flat. We all have varying tastes when it comes to pacing, but this story objectively goes at a moderate pace that is neither slow nor fast, especially for chapter 15.

I can also only name one character in the story by that timeline who's childish, and that's Mag who was sheltered and nurtured her entire life! She was definitely useless, but objectively, her actions weren't selfish. I don't even know how you got to that conclusion, lmaooo. Sure, Margaret was naive and self-centered, but Mag? That's a girl who's barely even surviving; I don't know how you can see her as selfish.

Maybe you have a shorter fuse than the average person, which is why you find even a light-hearted story with conflicts that arise at the ideal times and are resolved within a moderate timeline frustrating.

But like I said, we have different tastes. I personally suggest giving it a full read and digesting the story before judging, but it's also completely alright not to like it.

Just don't say such misleading reviews that can be deflected with objective reasoning. Have a nice day!(≧∀≦)

Heyyy ! Thanks for your comment, this point of view is interesting. Its been a minute so I only remember the overall of this manwha but here is my point of view :

I know we all read differently, so I won't take "misleading" personally because you flew through it in 3 hours. And also, not vibing with the "everything's a misunderstanding" plot is just as much my preference as loving it is yours, so I hope that's fair enough lmaooo

Honestly my bigger issue is the muteness/misunderstanding, the muteness is less a tragic detail to me and more a device that keeps the plot running on misunderstandings, since she literally can't correct anyone. Add in adults quietly withholding the truth from everyone around them, and it just becomes conflict that exists because people won't talk, not because the story earned it.

As for the "shorter fuse" thing, I'd push back on that a little. Finding a slow-reveal, miscommunication-driven plot frustrating isn't a patience problem, it's just not everyone's structure of choice. And "digest the full story before judging" kind of assumes my read will change with more chapters, well why not ! We will never know but I believe that its really is the mechanism itself I don't vibe with, not a lack of information.

So "moderate pacing" is your read, not some neutral fact, I don't need to finish it to have opinions on the structural choices already sitting there by chapter 15. And a review is just someone's account of their own experience with a story, not a claim that needs to be "deflected with objective reasoning", so I'll just keep writing mine based on mine.
