I’m so conflicted about this one… I’m a teacherXstudent HATER and rooted for the first guy. Yes, he was an a-hole but the teacher is like an a-hole deluxe. They’re kinda similar in the way they see each other as a tool of hatred/pain to be used against others. First guy was just dropped completely from the story and I honestly didn’t want the teacher to be the next love interest. At first I though it was a story about two musical students, but the story is really about a person’s soul and music. The tension was always there, but it did unfold better than I expected. The story has such deep and nuance emotions portrayed and the art is STUNNING. Hard to drop but also hard to get through. A bit disturbing but also realistic? Borderline grooming, but a fine line between hardcore mentorship and viewing MC as vessel for music/sound rather than as a person (which is less creepy in a bizarre way). I think they can both come out better if they work their way though this so I do want them to be together now. So much suffering left though (like the manager part) before they can be happy. I’m hoping for a happy ending. The sadist/wholesome puppy dynamic is a bit… completed. Binge read these 120+ chapters in one go.
The artstyle is so stunning and unique. Especially the expressions and emotions, like crying/tears. I’m gonna pretend the teacher is like 40 (I would like to think 30 but I think he looks older) and not 50/60 at worst. I’m not a fan of the much older troupe but the story and art is just too beautiful. It’s a colorful and expressive story without using actual coloring.

Thank you! I must have missed it. It’s a bit hard to tell bc of the artstyle sometimes, especially in the beginning I though he looked really old but once you get immersed it gets easier to tell.

MC and ML are colleagues. MC has a crush on ML but hasn’t confessed. ML dies, ML appears in front of MC. Stuff happen. Turns out ML knew MC from the past (past life?) but didn’t get with MC in present time bc it would bring MC misfortune/bad luck and he was cursed to live a miserable life. But in the end MC shows/proves to ML his life would still be miserable without ML and ML is what makes it less miserable.
I’m pretty sure ML was MC’s boss. He might’ve been a dragon (or I’m just mixing things up)
