Mikhail and Ana being love interests was lowkey set up from the beginning. They were children when Mikhail said he saw her as his sister. Feelings change especially when you spend the next few years away from each other with little to no contact.
Also Ana never really gave her opinion on him we just knew she was fond of him. Yall being disgusted by their relationship is so stupid. It would make more sense if you felt that way about any other relationship she had but this relationship was soft launched the moment Mikhail showed up on that horse to save her in the first few chapters. (It’s a classic ML introduction)
The way this ended really pissed me off. Hill is literally only with Crisp because of the fact that he feels guilty and he knows that him being with him will help him recover.
The part where he says “May we have pure love” that’s him saying “I’m with you and i feel so much guilty for it but i know my child and you need me so I’m staying and putting on an act”.
He’s insufferable and idk what’s worse his “guilt” or his brother cause his brother REALLY pisses me off. Wdym you can lock people up for years in a cold dungeon with no warmth in tiny sheets of clothing allowing them to be RAPED, but the moment you’re confined to a bedroom, with thick clothes, a nice bed and a bathroom attached you lose your mind??

He genuinely doesn’t hate Cheol. He wantrd him so badly to go after him, to just apologize so he can get over it and move on WITH him. It didn’t matter that his father, mother nor brother hated him or treated him badly. He barely cared if they knew he was gay. What he cared about was being outed then being forced to sit in what that meant for him ALONE.
So instead of actually healing and sitting with the fact that he’s gay and acknowledging it he resisted it. As a way to throw away Cheol so he wouldn’t have to deal with it. But it turned from anger, to fear and then he used his small amount of anger he felt toward him and used it to hide his fear.
All while yearning for his man back. He ruined his life, started drinking, smoking, gambling, dropped out of college (now I’m speculating) all because he wanted Cheol to come and apologize, take responsibility and love him again all while fearing exactly that.

I hate second ML so much. I feel like him kissing MC was his way of demanding the Mc to notice him which is exactly what he’s been doing this entire time. This is clearly some type of sensory deprivation and training. Not only is he using a sound machine but also a bell. He’s making it seem like days are going by, by letting him “sleep” and “wake up” in intervals so when they’re out of the Cabin he’s bed trained on when to sleep.
