I feel like that meme of the woman in that book review ragging on the werewolf romance novel for not having smut as there’s NO SMUT. Even when they finally leave the kingdom, are in the middle of the woods and she’s drunk on some magic beast blood, they still DO NOT have any sexual activity because a FUCKING RABBIT was staring at them. And when it turns out the rabbit can talk and straight up tells them to have sex in front of it, the rabbit turns out to be BLUFFING. This story is testing my patience!

Honestly, Liena’s blessing would’ve been far more deadly if the girl just knew how to use it. And I mean actually utilise what it does properly. You know why Edel can undo its effects so well aside from her growing undoing holy powers? It’s because Liena takes the affection she gets for granted and walks all over it. She cares not if they love her for her personality or deeds. They just DO. So she doesn’t go through much of an effort to even FAKE it. Like just now, the Prince was broken free but he could’ve been dragged back under her spell if she had just been a bit more smart. Just give him something to hook into. But she DOESN’T. And with her family, she just cries and waits for them to fawn over her without giving them anything to work with.

The family is so… NORMAL and well-adjusted when they aren’t lovingly stupid under Liena’s charm. I almost feel sorry for them. They wasted so much time under it and Edel and Cassius were actually good platonic friends in the first timeline which is now no longer possible unless Edel remembers.
I know this is an angsty moment for him, but I giggled when Sol basically went “Iana, you BAKA!” and ran off like a shoujo romance lead.
I am intrigued that the FL is NOT A GOOD PERSON to these men in her head, but I’m not annoyed by it because she treats them as well as she can because that’s her goal. She says the right things and comforts them, but she’s absolutely manipulating them and still only views them for the chase. She never means what she says like 60% of the time and flips her personality based on what appeals to them.
