i didn't have high expectations because there were more than 100 chapters, and from my experience, BL that long is filled with angst (and often toxic aspects in their relationship) but girl the only parts that made me annoyed was that ex-gf (who was thankfully graceful enough to give up on her own) and that cousin who and his dad who i wanted to beat to almost-death
this is why i love a couple who are so obsessed with each other... one dares to chase and the other dares to be chased.

yes! I was also quite surprised by the difference. I initially started the reboot novel cause I saw the manga. Somehow somewhere, I found out there's an OG that was stopped. I may or may not be remembering this right, but the author might have stopped writing the OG cause of how heavy it was(￣∇￣") It's not Attack on Titan/Jujutsu Kaisen level of dark/heavy vibe tho - just not 'happy happy, warm~' enough
