Honestly, I feel like this one gets a pass for being shit the ML isn't exactly abusive, he's OBSESSIVE.

There's a difference, abusive implys there is degradation on the victim's mental and physical health in the long run, in this case, FL is not abused as she is perfectly physically and mentally healthy. Coz if she was truly abused, unconsented sex would be a thing in the mansion, and ML absolutely prioritised her safety and wellbeing overall, even backing down when FL defended svanhild. Or when FL pushed him off when they were doing it and he stopped immediately(preggo scene).

If ML was abusive, he wouldnt let it slide with FL at all. Both the ML and svanhild are just obessive to the point of terrible, as in keeping their family intact.

FL knows about this too, about Roth I think. So she's exactly where she wants to be, and she allows it. Don't forget ML is this way cuz of FLs action in the beginning, a match made in hell and roses. She's paying the result of her actions fully in a cage she embraced willingly.

This manhwa is peak obsession to me.

I disagree.
Obsessive and abusive can coexist in the same person. Abusive is when they hurt others, knowingly or not. Obsessive is when one cannot stop themselves of repeating a pattern or action.
I hard disagree on she being “perfectly” healthy on any account. Since:
-she’s accepted her husband crippled her
-she lives in the guilt of having abandoned them
-she thinks she not been able to walk is some sort of punishment
-she deserves that punishment
… etc…

I’m not saying there shouldn’t be toxic characters. I’m saying this writing is shit. At least, to me.

Hmmm, abusive and obsessive can coexist at the same time but in this case, I think theres only little element of abusion. Only pure, heavy, intoxicating obsession of FL coming from ML.

Its more like, ML' slight abusive choices that stems from his overpowering obsession of FL made him like that, and FL knows why HE is like that. This is just the result of her actions that he processed it terribly bad and thus being controlling over his wife's movements. It stems from his obsession in the first place with FL. His "abusiveness" comes from his obsession.

Also, I think FL is just being human with how she accepted ML's punishment. FL is a selfish woman as stated by the Author, FL is priority-minded and sadly her family was never the priority at first. The only reason why FL stayed now, is simply because her sole reason to go back was dead (her mother). Do you think FL would go back if her mother was still alive? I think she def would. And that would contribute more to ML's madness that she caused herself.

Don't forget she's also a mother who abandoned her husband AND child. Its no wonder why ML reacted like that.
She's a woman with drowning love for her husband, and considering how ML restricted her movement only... I um think it's acceptable, I mean it's a fuckery plot so yeah.

It ain't never goin to be healthy happiness only unhealthy happiness , whatya expect it's a good manhwa with nuance to it, there's no innocents here, both leads are victims of each other's consequences. Labeling it as toxic doesn't really do it justice, cuz there's layers to it
