I agree with you that he should’ve been more courageous in his care for her but we have to remember he was emotionally stunted from the brutal death of his mother and subsequent rise to power I think the author wanted to showcase that these issues caused him to deter from focusing on what was really important (his marriage to Elijah) but because he didn’t know how to best convey he hurt her forcefully so and instead sought out ways without her so I give him a bit of reach but not too much
I just dont want to continue. Skipped ahead to ch 185 cause lovely user Usotsuki mention MC getting her hair cut and I thought something cool happened. No. Nothing. It was a nothing sandwich. Only thing I really learned is that she's still in her Idol Arc and creepy stalker is still creepy, a stalker and slowly getting physically violent.
I'm so tired of this manhwa now. I know tons of other people have mentioned it but I was actually stoked at the beginning cause the plot and direction seemed cool and the art is so so pretty. I was ready for an absolute bad ass who wants to actually save her family. I'm a slut for strong FL.
I'm so disappointed and Idol Arc is just irritating. Like I'm all for looong stories. I love multiple arcs in a story (a la DBZ) but, none of the arcs for this story even make me feel endeared to MC or any other character for that matter.

I can kinda understand where the ML is coming from. For him, he's been waiting 10 years for her, growing and maturing. Although I definately think the base of his love was like FL said, he was afraid of losing her so he wanted to get married to for sure keep her.
I'm more glad that FL is having such a hard time accepting him as a romantic interest. She has always seen him as a baby that she was raising, even planning on adoption so they couldn't be separated.
Overall I'm not in love with age gaps esp when the other person is super underage and the older pers9n is in a position of caregiver BUT the fact that he's been maturing and FL is still having a hard time accepting him is a little reassuring.
Finally. A sensible and strong female lead. Love our girl so much! (シ_ _)シ she works so hard to be understanding of the people she loves. Loves Damien like her own child (love mama bear mode). Takes it in the sack like an absolute champ (っ˘ڡ˘ς)

I dont think Cass is for sure the ML. I'm pretty sure it's just his arc to falling in love with FL. it'll loop back to the start of the manhwa when all three options for ML are fighting over FL. After all, first love arc was tsundere prince then it was kinky priest now its emotionless Duke.
