It feels like the author is trying so hard to make Grey a comic-book villain- the whole “Grey ruined all Hardy’s engagements” feels like a retcon the way it’s written.
imo if you look at all the characters’ histories with each other and dynamics, Grey/Lionel and Abel/Oscar feels most natural lol. Both Hardy and Abel go on about being abandoned by those around them and meanwhile Grey and Oscar have been there for them like the entire time??? Maybe that’s why he author’s trying so hard to make Grey evil idk but just feels forced to me
