I also understand Hyosin in this scenario. He wanted to discuss what he saw, but Jungseo kind of dismissed him. We know Jungseo was exhausted from work, so it’s not really his fault either. But anyone who sees their partner kissing another person would rage, especially if their partner dismisses them like that. Remember, he didn’t know Jungseo was sleeping. And we’re talking about this specific scenario only, so don’t diminish Hyosin’s feelings just because he’s a bum.

Yes, Jungseo is so mature. We need characters like him and fewer childish, obsessive, and toxic ones in BL. Someone who can inspire young BL readers to become better people and better partners instead of romanticizing toxicity.

Hyosin is such a good foil to him too. He’s kind of a brat and is ruled by his emotions. But he’s also a genuine artist at heart, and unfortunately, this world is harder to people who wanted to do creative work. Pursuing art is harder because it’s competitive and uncertain. They’re written to complement each other so well.

Remember when Lee Saha came to the village after the attack happened? I wonder if he's worried about the younger brother and went there to check on him. I actually like the chemistry of the side couple, BUT the author needs to write a very good backstory explaining why Saha did what he did, otherwise it won't work for me.

I agree with the comments, the MC is the top examinee and yet he stupidly rejected the best option, which is to marry his good friend. Now, let us examine the actual case at hand and not your anecdotal evidence from your own lives. A person introduces sb to their hopefully-future-partner as a friend and never clarifies the true extent of their relations (lies), that sb also only describes himself as a friend (lies), after which the main character inadvertantly learns that he was the only fool unaware of the situation they were all in. The person that was supposedly interested in him lied to him, kept key information hidden instead of explaining it and getting a clear start. It is nothing but suspicious. If you've ever seen people on the internet ask for help or advice after learning that their partner has been spending time with a "friend" (including one on one meetings) and just so happened to fail to mention that they had slept with each other, the opinion of the overwhelming majority in such situations is that the partner is not a good person. If you keep in touch with your former lovers or fwbs, it doesn't actually make you any better than people who prefer to cut contact. You are just different. We were very clearly shown multiple times that the main character was a romantic that believed he would spend his life with one person, that never had an inclination to have sex-friends, and valued all of the "firsts" and unique experiences he shared with his partner. It is painfully obvious that for such a person it is in fact a big deal if sb they are involved with purposefully withholds such information. It is not immature in the slightest, it is a breach of trust. There are many people like the MC, like me, who put more emotional value on intimate relations because we don't really see them as something outside of some kind of established relationships or something that doesn't mean anything. It is okay if you are different, but if you know your partner in and out and then choose to deceive them about something so important to them instead of disclosing it, you are simply a bad person.

I wish the author had fast-forwarded and shown us when they’ve both come out of the closet and been accepted by their friends and Garam’s family. It feels unfinished otherwise.

This should have more chapters. Seriously! The artist could write about their college and adult years. It has great potential and we need more healthy and wholesome romcoms.

Don't worry everyone. I skimmed the novel before and I remember that this is the part where all misunderstandings would get cleared. Does anyone have the link to the novel? I lost it in my bookmarks.

Root for their happiness, not your personal politics. So many weird people in the comments wanting an abortion. If you truly understand the story, you’ll know that the only thing that made Geonwu not want to keep the baby is his concern for Taejun’s career and future. That’s not a good reason. It should be about what Geonwu wants for himself.

What readers should be rooting for is for Geonwu to decide what he wants to do for his own good, not Taejun’s. And we know he loves Taejun, so we can infer that Geonwu would have wanted to keep the baby under better circumstances. Better circumstances = Taejun loving him too and choosing to raise the baby together. Which we know as readers that Taejun does love Geonwu, but Taejun hasn’t fully realized it yet.

So that’s what we should be rooting for: his happiness. Their happiness. Not your personal abortion (pro-life/pro-choice) politics.

Reading stories should make you reflect on perspectives and experiences beyond your own and become wiser, not self-insert and project your personal beliefs onto every situation.

I think Mochida (MC) and Adachi (rival) have better chemistry tbh. Mr. Kiryu (ML) and Mochida’s relationship feels too polite and distant at this point. I don’t really buy how the ML fell for Mochida. He treats both of them like kids.
