High school crush has black hair and in that one shot where he was walking away from Ideum with his family there was no younger male sibling. There was also no confirmation yet that the fleeting high school crush of Ideum was a swimmer

The author could always find a way to pull off a "it'd been a long time since he went to school with his crush and they hadn't interacted much so they didn't recognize each other and Ideum's memories are blurry from all the trauma" so who knows in the end. xD
But for the time being I think your opinion is correct.
I would say the plot is very unique - sometimes near game of thrones level of sadistic that even I didn’t expect some of the plot twists

At a loss of words because this manhwa just nails a lot of things for me. First, the protagonist is just hella fucking amusing - I relate to him deeply as a fellow ambitious, often petty, potty-mouthed individual. It’s so heartbreaking how his literal maturity and growth in career and life is stunted by the ex boyfriend. The protagonist keeps repeating that word - he’s not even family. And that’s exactly it - because I experience that too, family holding me back from living a life true to myself. Being bound by a sense of duty beyond my age. Man.
I also really love the love triangle dynamics even if it’s obvious the hot sleep deprived pd is definitely going to be the endgame. God I love his characterization - that combination of playfulness and aloofness, the sheer arrogance that you know what you and I are going to end up dating by the end of everything.
I saw some people said that he should feel bad for saying all those stuffs that breaking the protagonist’s hard when in high school but that’s exactly it??? He’s been regretting it ever since. He KNOWS he was such a stupid idiotic kid when he said those hurtful stuffs and that’s why the whole time he’s been making it up to the protagonist for the loss time. He knows better than to blame mc for the circumstances knowing very well there’s that psycho ex hovering around him
And I just really love the love and hate dynamic between them. You know the pd definitely gets off on teasing the protagonist because he’s cute haha. Real definition of “you should be addicted to shutting the fuck up” / “you wanna fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid”. My lord, the author really knows how to write tension

Yes! So glad someone else sees how great the author is at writing characters! I too love the series because of how no one here is perfect it makes it so much more relatable. Also how the author uses the text for the humour is a more mature approach rather than drawing an over the top characterisation of the characters. Honestly that “dark” humour is so real for me. Okay I have to say … I’m just like men when I see Dia on the screen I zoomed in. Other than the banger art, I’m actually just really enjoying Dia herself as a game tester contrary to others’ opinions I think she can be quite clever - definitely not the in your face type of intelligence but it shows more through her observations. I think the only time she’s cooked is when she’s faced by the choices lmao but so far I’ve been enjoying the story through her narration
The male lead choices are quite interesting - it’s really just a story for people who enjoy yandere love interests (even I didn’t know i can enjoy yandere story). So far the MLs has been predictable what is not is the sudden deaths/assasinations because before these bad ending occurs even personally for me Dia has taken the more “reasonable route”

Yeah no absolutely this story is not like those regressions/reincarnations manhwa where she knows the game manual/read the book beforehand, she’s going through the story blindly, literally together with us as it is unfolding. I think she makes a good choice given the situation and the genre of the game
the genre is so full of slop that i feel full reading this
if i can summarize what i like about it - things just make sense?
- motivation for revenge: clear. id go crazy too if my children were killed. and i would go to great lengths to avenge them.
- sudden op-ness: clear. it makes sense - she was just such a kindhearted individual before and believed in the kindness of others too but not necessarily unintelligent? maybe? if she successfully hunted the dragon and killed 7-star general in the past she definitely got both brain and brawn prowess which is my favorite part about her. even after living for 10 years im also a different person - i imagine going back to the past after acquiring many different skillsets would make me play at the game of life better
- someone already said - the antagonists are genuinely depraved and ok they are kind of one dimensional evil but they were definitely a tough opponent that cant just be overthrown in one day which makes the main plot interesting. speaking of which …
- the sideplot escalations enriched the main plot. i love this because side plots such as the brother’s reunion and caesar’s curse gives the reader a sense of both foreboding and acceleration. the main plot is already heavy with revenge but the side plot gives us more things to look forward too
- the pace is just right. this is often the problem with an adaptation and some manhwa like kill the villainness is quite terrible at this but this one is . pretty good. when i dont feel like i need to read the webnovel to understand, thats when i know things are pretty good pacing-wise
some less favorable deus ex machina
- i love the ml’s character design but he’s not really necessary for the plot. he speeds things up, but just like the duel - the outcome will be the same nevertheless, medea ensures of that. i mean yes its nice to have an allyship kingdom’s prince to be your secret knight and probably also potential partner in political marriage but yup hes not the Main Ingredient that makes this story Flavorful (which brings me to .,, i dont like the current cover - medea doesnt need saving)
agree on all points! i honestly think it wldve been nicer if medeia planned using the ml cuz even if she doesn’t know he’s a prince, his undercover identity is still a mercenary from a rlly good group which cldve potentially been very useful for her plans. but he just kinda ends up somehow always being in the right places and not adding much
Yup. I hate that “being in the right place at the right time” trope aka deus ex machina when it’s used for women in particular because it kind of takes out Medea’s agency and power. I think the story would have been enjoyable if there are less of this for me personally because I believe while not overpowered, Medea can solve some of these issues herself (like getting out of the wolf hunt but ok maybe not the sword hunt)
