Why is everyone suddenly obsessed with whatever gender a demon dude is? He’s a villain either way. That dude is responsible for countless tortures and deaths, don’t try to like him now just because you see why he became this way. That’s like those people who allow abuse just because they understand and feel bad for the abuser.
I actually quite like the Duke. I feel he has the most control over his response to her charm, so far at least. He’s only ever done what was asked of him, except a single time—and even then, it was only because he wasn’t 1000% sure that it was something she wanted for herself. (Basically she has to tell him everything and can’t leave a single thing to be determined lol). But that’s still the most respectful character of all so far. Even Roger had toxic moments thinking about how he’d still lock her up and claim her if she were the one responsible for the fall of his family, until he learned the truth—so none of them are necessarily perfect. And obviously the prince is the ABSOLUTE WORST, but if you think about it, her charm ability has the way to unlock the true character of those she meets. How much restraint and respect are they willing to show in the face of their deepest darkest desires even when charmed by magic? I think that’s why none of us can put this story down, no matter how much angst it has haha.

Ah, I love when a story can have action, romance, drama, and mystery all in one <3 (lol those of you who are upset at some characters—that’s how you know it’s actually a good story. If things always went the way you wanted and everything was perfect, it wouldn’t have a story to even tell).

And it's good how they delve upon the morality and principles of the mc as well as his self doubt about wether it's still just a Novel for him or has he truly felt Attached to the world. Most especially since she has a literal child
Don’t think it’s Yuri, there appears to be a male mc appearing, and the character was initially engaged to a man before uncovering his crimes with the help of the river spirit. ^^ Though the story is interesting. Long story short: girl tries to kill herself but is saved by a river spirit and they end up temporarily bound to each other—though the spirit is able to lend her power to the mc. They begin to act judgement upon those they catch abusing and tormenting the weak and innocent.
Come to me, drama! One of the few times love triangles and returning exes actually make a good story.

No one wants to read about whatever forced romance she and this dude might have to drama out, we just want to see our two heroines become happy
